You built it very nicely! I would like to make one comment: you have fixed one of the outputs of the differential. With this, you have reduced the ratio by half. It does not cut perfectly because the speed of the cutting roller is low. And the solution is right there in your hands: free the fixed output and simply weld the planetary gears of the differential inside. It will cut beautifully! Very clever!

Nice job. Impressive fabrication skills. I probably wouldn’t have thought of this myself if I designed this, but since the flails rotate the same direction as travel and the leading edge of the mower lays the grass down, it doesn’t cut tall grass so well it appears. Mowing in reverse in those conditions would work though.

Yooo I was just talking about this with my brother, but I was thinking of a flail mower that has the belt in the middle instead of the side. We go vineyard work and the belt on the side gets in the way of trying to mow closely to the vines. Also because most new vineyards are doing compact spacing and some try to do sustainable organic flail mower is very popular but like I mentioned most flail mowers are wide because of the belts on the side but it would be nice to have one where the belts are not in the way on either side. Just a thought and may you can make it happen. Also something else to design for vineyards is something to get rid of the weeds between each vine. There are a few but not much for compact tractors.

Zablokowanie półosi powoduje ciągłą pracę satelit. Lepszą opcją jest zaspawanie mechanizmu różnicowego.

Masz rację. Ale spokojnie, mercedesowski most myślę że wytrzyma. Tym bardziej że dalej napęd jest realizowany przez paski klinowe które w ewentualności wyłapią drgania od wału tnącego który czasem się przyblokuje na jakimś kretowisku.

Small hint your top pulley needs to be a little bigger than the lower one, so you will have a higher number of revolutions on the mulcher

nice build. the transfer case for the pto shouldn't be so tight it stops the flail immediately...these are made by manufacturers to spin down to reduce wear and tear and save your tractors rear pto box as well.

Set up makes spider gears do a lot of work. It would be better to reorient and weld spider gears.

The machine needs the rpm increase resulting from this. But you are right, a differential is not made for this purpose

Correct me if I'm wrong but are you not running through your spider gears by stopping the other side with that bracket welded to the frame? if you are they won't last long. Would be best if you took the diff apart and welded the spider gears together and took that bracket off on the other side of the diff. Other than that ,,,, great build!
