Homemade fly trap works a treat.

The flys can get pretty fierce around Perth in summer, but these simple traps, with a bit of old chicken in the bottom, certainly help. Gross.

Works for fruit flies too, just buy a 2 liter pop or use an empty one then cut it near the top with extacto knife or scissors but be careful then fill it with food pieces or fruit peels in the bottom half then place the top piece upside down into the bottom half an tape it so its doesn't move then it's finished lol

You can also cut some skinny tabs in the threaded opening. Then bend them inward to make it have 2 or 3 smaller openings.

@@JayKumar-kj3lq I found out flies are actually pretty hard to lure. Though I was able to catch a ton of wasps just by using jam under a different style trap. Once they found out there was jam the whole colony came and got trapped 😅
