You learn a great deal of this stuff from the people your hang out with or work with. Much of it doesn't come from former schooling. You have to first have the mind for this work. Then you have to sponge up all the info you can from old farmers, mechanics and machinist/fabricators. It's an art to build stuff out of junk or stuff you have laying around and to be able to figure out and make the parts you need to put it all together and work. :) Find a workshop in your area. Tell them you want to really learn and would like to start by sweeping the floors and cleaning up.

the nut, even if it is self-locking, should not be on the side of the attachment, it is worth putting the nuts on the side of the bed, this is how the bolted connection works better and more reliably. the cam clutch installed on your engine is not designed for smooth speed control, it will certainly try to work but still quickly fail, the cam clutch is essentially an on-off switch and not a dimer and not an analogue of a car clutch. It seems to me that it is better to use a standard belt clutch for walk-behind tractors. it was also worth making a second lower attachment point for the share, and a hole in the lower casing of the drive star, where all the dirt will be collected ...

@PROProcesss Жыл бұрын
This is a great development for private use. It remains to paint and you can start mass production An interesting point is that the chain is not protected at the bottom, will it be clogged with earth and will it not become a problem of rapid wear of the star?

A guard was added at 13:10 though a better design will likely be necessary-I'd like something with a seal. Say a used CV boot(s). It's rubber, flexible, and tough, plus they're meant to keep water and *dirt* out. ;) He'll also have to change the guard from a 2 piece to a 1 piece.

I really admire your motorized machines! I really need a two wheel tractor for steep trails in my wooded property. Something to hook to a small, narrow cart to haul tools, firewood, stones, logs. Also to attach a plow to for plowing mine and my neighbors long, steep driveways in the winter. Getting too old to do it by hand. :D ???: Do you think a 200cc engine like this would have the torque and HP to haul 200-400 lbs up trails in the woods, depending on gearing, of course. I don't need too much speed. Torque is more important. I've got the fab skills and welding shop, but my engine/drive-train knowledge is less than zero! LOL! Thanks very much for the videos! Bert

I love this channel-you say more w/o saying a word more than any channel I subscribe to. God bless. Btw am I correct in assuming the condition of the wheels at 12:47 indicate you "took it out for a test drive" and you didn't like what you saw-that's why you moved the pillow block bearings to the bottom of the frame [11:26-11:52]? [edit]: are you satisfied with its performance-do you plan on making any changes?

Thank you 😁 Yes, I tested it first, and then changed it, of course, showing where I made a mistake. The machine was made quite quickly because I need it now, but there are a few things that I need to improve and that's why I didn't paint it, but it still works 😁 As for the changes, it is definitely larger wheels, and thus you need to immediately change the sprocket to a slower one because it will work too fast on larger wheels
