Great idea. I’m using an empty bulk spice container. The bottles that are like 8” tall. The holes are already in the cap:) 😊

I also make one out of a a gallon jug. But what I do is I take a small seed sized drill bit and drill like 30 holes in the bottom of the jug. I use a funnel to fill it with seed then i put the cover back on. (Don’t face too) then you just hold the jug handle and shake it like a Polaroid picture baby.

That's what I thought he was going to do when I saw the milk jug. Something like that.

This makes more sense. I don't want to spend any money but, I would still have to go find that mesh. 🙄

It’s totally not the money, it’s the capability and skills to create something and not buy someone else’s idea or name. Lol

Lol Same here! Bein broke sucks!! But even when I'm not broke I like making things with my hands, feels good saving money! Plus, how often do you use a grass seed spreader?? I would guess not very often! Lol When you make it from materials laying around the house you can just toss in trash when you're done (materials were going to the trash anyways before making the spreader) , and if you ever need one again just make another.

Nothing wrong with not bein lazy and to think for yourself!! Feels good making something useful out of stuff you would've threw away and you save money at same time. That money you save adds up when you have projects to do through out the year, when you make useful things from materials you have laying around your home...
