Homemade Guava Tart

Hands down my favorite treat from back home. Guava Tart is super easy to make and this recipe turned out amazing.
Tarta de Guayaba from my cousin Boni
Ingredients
Guava Paste 1 can or package sliced
1/2 cup butter (softened) I used the right amount in the video, but said the wrong thing. Basically one strick😂
2 eggs
1 cup of sugar
2 cups all purpose flower (sifted)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
Pre heat over 350, grease a 9X9 Pyrex
Cream the butter, add sugar slowly, then add eggs, baking powder, salt and lastly the vanilla.
Add the flour.
Cover the bottom of the pan with half the batter. Cover that layer with guava paste then top that with the rest of the batter.
Bake in the over for 30 minutes or until when you insert toothpick or knife in the middle, it comes out clean.
Let it cool. Sprinkle powder sugar on top. Cut in squares. Enjoy!

I have used the butter wrapper to grease a small pan sometimes if there’s a enough left behind.
