Hello there. Not trying to be pushy but your dog must have a calcium supplement. You can get sea calcium on Amazon $25 will last a year for small dog. Also you dog must get organ meat and some fish. Dr. joadies pet n trail mix (amazon) has brain heart gizzard spleen liver kidney freeze dried all in one container my chi gobbles it up. Canned sardines mackeral oysters can be added after you cook if your dog will eat and they are cheap. Ginger and turmeric cercumin are always a nice addition. He's a pretty boy, health and happiness to you and him.

This was so cool... I have a 2½ month old Chorkie (Chihuahua/Yorkie) and she eats way to fast LoL. I've been looking at ingredients in the puppy food and its concerning. I love that you simplified making your pups food yourself. I will definitely being following you and his journey.

Thank you for showing your recipe for your pup. I noticed when you gave him a little snack he smelled it and looked at you and didn’t eat until you told him to. Did you train him to do that or he was just starting out slow?

Has this recipe been tweeked in the last year? (I hope so) he needs calcium. That supplement is for digestive health only. It doesn't have the minerals he needs. I can't believe your vet didn't tell you calcium is so important. Even more so since you are feeding spinach which is said to block the absorption of calcium. If dogs don't get enough calcium in their diet, their bodies will leach it from their bones, which can cause all kinds of problems.

What is the % ratio of plant based and rice? By no means am I bashing you as we are all beginners with a homemade diet for our dogs, but animal proteins should be the majority of your recipe. I make batches containing 75-80% animal proteins and 20-25% plant based feeding no high starchy carbs or grains. Also talk to your vet about adding heart and organs. They are important additions.
