I bet that ice cream is the best! I can't afford either of the fancy ice cream makers but I'm wondering if I could make it without them or not. Thanks for sharing! I love this Dairy month playlist! ❤🎉
@TheFromScratchFarmhouse Жыл бұрын
I actually wonder if it would work because it’s so thick before you even put it in the ice cream maker. If you try it please let me know! I’d just skip the machine part, spread the blended mixture into a pan and freeze.

Off to check out your ice cream maker! I'm curious about the gelatine like another commenter... wondering if it would work in our recipe that doesn't have eggs? Making a note to try it when we make the next batch this week!
@haleyfink63257 ай бұрын
It’s a great idea to add the gelatin! Just got an ice cream maker and I am excited to try out using some raw milk from our local source. It is hard for us to acquire it though so I’m wondering- since you’re heating yours, does that negate all the benefits of raw milk (enzymes,etc)?? I guess I’m wondering if this step is crucial, then should I just use regular store bought milk and save our other raw milk for fresh drinking to maintain all the benefits?
@TheFromScratchFarmhouse7 ай бұрын
If I was paying for raw milk I’d probably not use it on ice cream for exactly that reason. Technically you can skip heating it as long as you are comfortable eating your eggs uncooked and know that it will be a different texture.
