In this video we explain you how to make the Italian Christmas Cake from Verona, Pandoro. Pandoro recipe is not easy so I did my best to describe all the steps in the video especially with a detailed annotation of the ingredients you need to add during the process, because the pandoro ingredients are added a bit at at time at different steps.
An important note: Pandoro is not the recipe for those who are in a rush. You need to dedicate to it two days! This is why I say it's a BORING RECIPE!!! :-)
True to its name ("Pandoro" means "golden bread"), the cake has a bright yellow color.
Despite the name having 'bread' in it, this is far from tasting like a bread: delicate vanilla and citrus flavors, the smooth consistency of the dense alveolate makes Pandoro a tough competitor of the other Italian Christmas Cake: Panettone. In fact one of the most heated debate happening in Italian households over the Christmas period is: which one is better, Pandoro or Panettone?
