Congratulations for your crusher. I live in Brazil, there would be possibilities to inform the internal measures of the parts. Visually has a sense of size. Excellent aproveitamente of old iron scraps.

That looks great I really must build one, how did do the bottom toggle hinge?
@bpb9018 жыл бұрын
Cheers Mark, I think the springs should be pretty hard, but I was told stellite might be worth looking into too. I've got an old hydraulic ram which I may use for the main shaft but I'm still looking round my junk collection and selecting suitable parts.

Again great job, have any pics or video of the toggle setup for the adjustment of the bottom of the jaw?
@marktgsxr8 жыл бұрын
thanks! its the only bit i didnt get photos of, mainly because i changed it several times to get it to work, it ended up being a 45 degree angle relative to the jaw and about 6 inches long. if i did it all again id make it adjustable for angle aswell as to vary the size of the rock crushed!

If the spoked flywheels are made of cast iron rather than cast steel you could have potential problems if something ‘ uncrushable ‘ gets into the machine, solid flywheels would be preferable . Nice machine.

Hi there Thank you for presentation! I like your machine and I've seen these (your) videos a lot time. Are you satisfied with UPC212 bearing. Is it strong enough? What about the bearing at the excentric? I could not read them. It must be around UPC216. Is it correct? Thank you for answer!

Excellent I'll look forward to it, Cheers Mark, I'm gonna use some old rsj's I've got for frame and box and maybe some cut down old van leaf springs for jaw teeth.
@marktgsxr8 жыл бұрын
rsj's will be great for the body, not sure about leaf springs though, my jaw faces are made from old cat loader blades and have worn alot, i think welding ridges with hard facing rods could be a good soloution!

Hello Mark, I wanted to private message you but cannot find send the email link........ I have a few questions if you don't mind. 1. What is the overall size of the angle iron box? 2. Is the face opposite the jaw, angled or straight down? 3. Does the bottom of the jaw have any support or locating part besides the spring mechanism? 4. You mention machining the offset cam and welding to the drive shaft, can you elaborate please? 5. Can you get some video of the spring/toggle mechanism on the bottom of the jaw please? Many thanks in advance.
@marktgsxr8 жыл бұрын
Hi there the back face is vertical and the moving jaw is angled back to create the wedge shape, overall the main body was around 20" wide and 30" long, the cams were simply machined and welded to a shaft as it was cheaper/easier than making it from a single piece! i will do another video when i get time explaining the operation a bit better...

@marktgsxr5 жыл бұрын
@@orkidknog4147 i think my toggle plate is at 45 degrees ish.... if i built it again id make it adjustable so i could alter the size of the gravel and also the angle for fine tuning..... id also use hardox steel or hard facing weld for the jaws......good luck, its been one of the best things ive ever built!

@@marktgsxr ive had the idea of making the fixed jaw swing on a large pin on the top so i can just put in like home made shims in to make it bigger or smaller, ive got 1,1/2" plate for the sides the 2 bits i have for the jaws are 2" thick thinking of making both jaws at 45deg so v shaped 12" wide 8" from top of jaw to top of jaw so i can at least get a hole breeze block in at once, im going to be making it so it runs of a tractor so power wont be any trouble just if the pillar block will stick the force as they are weak and i see your broke one, ive made 2 eccentric like your so fingers crossed it will work, im putting 60mm shaft and 75mm od eccentric to fit 2 x 75mm pillar blocks on the rocking jaw, its just getting the time to plan it out and weld it all up and see what happens, so how do i know witch way is the correct way to turn and what way is the wrong way
