I really like this video, Jason. You have shown this equipment many times before. This time you went into much more detail about the machine adjustments, etc. Furthermore, I never thought about crushing concrete, much less if it contains rebar! I can't believe this doesn't jam the machine and ruin the crushing plates, or seize the motor. I guess I should have known that rebar is no match. Thank you for sharing your outstanding equipment. I'm sending blessings from Alabama ❤️

That is a really good idea! I used to work in solid waste industry customer service, and people wanting to get rid of their granite/marble/stone counter tops have to either rent an expensive dumpster or self haul. But having it crushed for some light landscaping would've been a great suggestion and really does look good when washed!

heheh, just curious.... if you have a granite or quartz countertop, can you find gold in them?
@kaboom4679 Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately , not likely , since highly mineralized and altered rock that would be most likely to contain gold , is almost never fit for making large durable countertops . To soft and way to fractured , not to mention quite reactive and will stain most everything around it with rust . However , white granites tend to have a much higher concentration of uranium than other rocks , and , will usually emit a higher level of radiation , than other rocks . A fat way to get banned from Lowes is bring in a counter or detector and demonstrate this with their samples , lmao .

curious how many tins, long or short tons, of material can be fed through your machines on average before the plates need to be replaced? there's a small niche in my area people always looking for somewhere to dump concrete and the prices of gravel fill and base have jumped way too high...maybe can offer some dump site space for crushable concrete and other aggregate and make the money back by selling and delivering the crushed base and fill material? I'd probably be looking at a larger machine than this one shown in the future but as much material that you processed in this small time seems like it'll atleast pay for itself in 6 months or so when offering a better market rate for material than current market rate in my area? can't really start with the biggest baddest machine because I need other equipment to start up as well lol

Can you make it Pto drive and 3point tractor attachment hitch
@markmayer202911 ай бұрын
You could, but the jaw crusher shaft would need to aline with the PTO. The crusher rotates at 400 RPM max. The tractor would have to sit 90 degrees to the fly wheels. I have also seen a PTO coming out the side of a tractor. Belt drive to a belt pulley on the crusher. Video is on KZbin under jaw crushers, somewhere.

I prefer crushed concrete over any other type of fill. Over a short time like after it rains it will pack hard enough to drive on yet will let water soak in. Also if you want to move it a shovel will sink in lot easier then if it was dirt. I have about a foot of it in my driveway where it sits on clay ground.
