Great work as usual Daniel. One thing I'd suggest is to put a small centrifugal fan under the panel where the air inlet tube connects. You could run it from a lipo battery or similar, basically just to help offset the suction drag through the tube which will probably cause over rich mixture if the airflow demand exceeds atmospheric delivery. centrifugal fans are readily available and will deliver more flow pressure than regular axial fans of similar size. Cheers, and good luck.

I think the tank breather within the intake snorkel will make a vacuum problem for the fuel tank making it difficult to pump fuel to the engines. The serrated flex pipe has lots of flow restriction causing additional vacuum. Also: you might want to think of a valve on the intake snorkel. Perhaps a valve connected to the throttle so it opens as needed, for when you fall off............otherwise glug glug glug up the snout.

You might want to add gravity controlled valve on the intake handle so if you flip over, drop the handle etc valve closes and no water gets into intake and cylinders. Not sure how this valve is constructed but so it closes when no in 45?degrees from upright. Could do it with servo and gyro sensor maybe?

Having the fuel tank breather in the intake for inside the board, could that cause a build up of gas fumes inside the board? Unless you meant the breather is on the outside of the intake tube then nvm. Very excited for this build!

Generally increasing the wall thickness makes the part stronger than 100% infill. So instead of using 100% infill just increase the wall thickness until you effectively reach 100% :)
@DktheWelder2 жыл бұрын
I have been told that but a problem I have the more wall thickness seems to distort the part more and also makes it peel off the bed , I am pretty new to 3d printing any advice on how to solve this?
@WoLpH2 жыл бұрын
@@DktheWelder Your nozzle size is by far the most important factor when it comes to the width of a single line of filament. So if you have a 0.4mm nozzle you should try and use a wall thickness that's a multiple of that to work. Trying to print a wall that's 0.6mm wide with a 0.4mm nozzle will probably result in 0.4mm instead. With a 1mm wall and a 0.4mm nozzle you can make it work through infill but it won't be too smooth that way.
@WoLpH2 жыл бұрын
@@DktheWelder With regards to peeling off the bed, it can help quite a bit to have something to enclose the printer. Usually the peeling is caused by uneven cooling and/or too rapid cooling. As a simple test, just put a big cardboard box or large bag around your printer :) I don't recommend cardboard long-term due to the fire hazard though. But special insulating enclosures are for sale, or just muck something together. I've got one of those IKEA Lack tables with some polycarbonate sides as an enclosure and that helps quite a bit.
