Homemade Lathe - Ev Yapımı Mini Torna Makinesi

Hello everyone. I occasionally need a lathe for DIY projects. This was a problem for precision work. So I decided to build a lathe machine myself to solve this problem. I wanted to share with you how I made this small, space-saving lathe machine.
I used 8 mm spindles and 8 mm metal bushings for the lathe machine slide. I used 8 mm rod, nuts and wooden turning discs. Then I added a motor to this sled. So I had an X Y lathe slide that moved forward and backward. I made a lathe pen holder and added it to this lathe slide. Then I made a pen.
Then I moved on to the main body construction. I used two 10 mm seat bearings in this body. I used a 150 watt 775 DC motor as the main motor to operate the lathe, and a 40 amp PWM motor driver to drive this motor. I reduced the engine and chuck rotation speed and increased the torque with 40T and 20T pulleys and GT2 timing belts. Then I added the 65 mm mini lathe chuck. Thus, I had a nice lathe machine for small jobs. It needs to be improved. I will share improvements with you over time. Have a good time everyone.

Herkese merhaba. Kendin yap projeleri için zaman zaman torna makinesine ihtiyaç duyuyorum. Bu hassas işler için bir sorundu. Ben de bu sorunu çözmek için kendim bir torna makinesi yapmaya karar verdim. Küçük, yer kaplamayan bu torna makinesini nasıl yaptığımı da sizlerle paylaşmak istedim.
Torna makinesi kızağı için 8 mm miller ve 8 mm metal burçlar kullandım. 8 mm gijon demiri, somun ve ahşap çevirme diskleri kullandım. Daha sonra bu kızağa bir motor ekledim. Böylelikle ileri ve geri hareket eden bir X Y torna kızağım oldu. Bu torna kızağına torna kalemliği yapıp ekledim. Ardından da bir kalem yaptım.
Daha sonra ana gövde yapımına geçtim. Bu gövdede iki adet 10 mm yataklı rulman kullandım. Tornayı çalıştıracak ana motor olarak da 150 wattlık 775 DC motor, bu motoru sürmek için de 40 amper PWM bir motor sürücü kullandım. 40T ve 20T kasnaklar, GT2 zamanlama kayışları ile motor ve torna aynası dönüş hızını düşürüp torku arttırdım. Daha sonra 65 mm mini torna aynasını da ekledim. Böylelikle ufak işler için güzel bir torna makinem oldu. Geliştirilmesi gerekiyor. Zaman içinde sizlerle geliştirmeleri de paylaşacağım. ​@@SinanKeskinDCpls help Hello, I wanted to make a battery pack of 24 volt and 11 amp I managed some good batteries the old laptop ones, but problem is they are of diffrent capacity some are 2200 mah and 2000 mah. Want to make 7s Battery pack. I have bought a bms also. So it will be 5 cells in parallel to give around 11 amp and 3.7v And then Will add these make 7 series to give around 24 volts Overall= 24volts and 11ah I wanted to know if there will be a problem in overcharging or discharging or the batteries , battery pack is to be used for powering a 250 watt motor, 23 volts. Is ut safe to connect the 2ah and 2.2ah batteries in parallel for such use. Thank you.

Ok I would have gone with the 12mm linear rail because you can get the sliders for them it would stiffen it up a lot more so doesn't flex on the body or the rails which also allows for a much stiffer for that cether part. (Sorry had a brain injury and brain forgets words constantly now) So it won't flex either when you work . That one item would make it beyond strong. If your using the fleximg 12mm rods you need to have it actually rest on the base with something like brass or even lubed metal slides 1/16" as it's just a slide surface now the moving center part can't flex as easily..I would actually go 1/4" on top sanded smooth that way the base really can't flex 1/2" to 1" each side. I am seeing as you're working the rods flex and under powered motor reduces over all effectiveness but it's still great! I plan on using most of your design for the lathe. I will use my ideas as upgrades to it. Might try to do a video like yours also. Will definitely link back to yours and give you the credit for the design. You definitely need a stronger motor because it is struggling. I would go with a heavy drill if you can get one with variable speed built now your laughing with a built-in speed controller. Us the gears still for more torx and make new metal ones on the lathe lots of Videos on how to. Think how that drill press your using works with more power the drill motor will give you that. Use a broken one like I will lol. My mild hording has paid off again lol. Love your design it has sparked my build. I am also going to check out your old video's Otherwise I plan on coping much of your design. This is a start before I build a big one with a 8" chuck. To work out many defects of a larger one. Lol lots of fun ahead.
