This is very similar to mine but mine has an extra ingredient. For a smaller quantity than above :2 Bars Soap, 2 Cups Washing Soda (Lectric Soda), 1 Cup Borax and 2 Small Boxes or bags of BI-CARB SODA for an extra boost. You can use left over bathroom soap slivers that you save up over time to put them to good use. You can add essential oil but you have to add to one of the powders first--maybe the bicarb but not 100% if this one or not, so you could research it. It is also a LOT easier to use a regular knife to cut up the bars of soap and add to a Ninja processor or an old food processor. Add to a bowl and add remaining ingredients. Mix. Add small batches back to Ninja to turn all into a uniform powder and will also mix it well.

I make this already. But I put the whole box of baking soda. And I add one (3 pounds) of Oxi Clean. I use four Tablespoons to every wash, because you can feel the soap in water. If I used less, you can't feel the soap in the water. I think it needs four Tablespoons in every loads, and it also makes them smell better with more washing powder, and cleaner.

This consists mostly of two water softeners and baking soda, which does nothing. You’re washing with salty water and very little surfactant. It is not a detergent. It contains none. The only surfactant is bar soap.

@SasiRekhaskitchen
@SasiRekhaskitchen 7 жыл бұрын
I heard that some people don't like to use borax to clean baby clothes and some people say it is safe. You may need to do more research on google. I would leave out borax for baby clothes. Washing soda does the same thing as borax. You can use vinegar in the rinse cycle. Vinegar deodorizes. I hope it is helpful. Stay tuned.

@SasiRekhaskitchen

They are available in many places like Walmart, Kmart, target, Amazon and on eBay. They cost around $50. The one I am using is GE food processor. I am using this for a long time still works great. I don't remember how much I paid. I use the same one that I use in the kitchen. Some people like to keep a separate one for this. But we use the soap to clean anyway. So I do not keep a separate one. hello madam, i live in india. i have calculated the quantity and price of ingredients (from indian online shop). Borax 1kg Rs.480, Washing soda 1kg Rs.499, Zote bar(400gm) Rs.1240x2=2480. The final product will come around 4 kgs and price is apprx 4000 rupees. So 1kg of detergent powder is 1000 apprx. In india detergent powder of 1kg Rs.200 apprx. Any suggestions madam?

Thank you for watching. I don't know about the prices in India. The main reason for me to make washing powder at home is to use less toxic materials at home. But one thing I can tell.
