I watched this on my TV awestruck that your lift telescoped. Then it went to the next video and I spent the next 45 minutes trying to find yours again. Would love to see a build or even just a reassembly. Well done and thanks!

Sir nice work can i use this for oil drum for lifting on truck
@cszrwi Жыл бұрын
NO problem. I have lifted 300kilo on mine. You should test with double the load you need before you start to use every day. I would recommend that if you are going to be regularly in the 200 kilo range that you choose a heavier steel for the main vertical rails where the bearing run. Those are where the steel might twist.

Can we put it in our second floor, which is top floor varandah to go to the roof?
@Fergibaby1 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for a very clear demonstration of your impressive build. I was researching this concept and this was one of the best videos I've found. What height is your mast sections and the cable length please ? and in practical use what max lifting capacity feels safe when at max height ?
@cszrwi Жыл бұрын
Nothing is safe. You need to stay well clear of it unless you have done your own tests. I have tested mine with 300k and it was not the max. The mast min is short enough that it will go under the back hatch of my van and full extension is high enough to reach the doors in the video. You can make any size you need. The standard cable that came with the winch was long enough for me.

Do you have plans for this forklift? What weight can it lift
@cszrwi Жыл бұрын
Weight depends on what you use for the steel. Mine is only light you will have to test yours before you use it. I have used mine with 300kilos. No plans sorry. I made it short enough to go under my van hatch and high enough to get to the top floor of my barn.

Well done!! People like you and the things that you people all build is the reason my wife doesnt get the house finished lol. I desperately need to build this i got several lighter items that i need to put on some racking and its fairly room limited. Would be sweet if i could see how you connected the mast inner and outers together. You did a damn nice job!!!

@cszrwi2 жыл бұрын
Hi Miray, I never made any measurements sorry. I just built it by eye. It’s short enough to go under the hatch of my VW t4 and it’s narrow enough for the forks to fit in a E pallet.

Good video....Can it be made battery driven? Thanks.
@cszrwi Жыл бұрын
Yer i have swapped the winch now fir 12v and put a car battery on the tray at the back. My problem here is my ground is not so level so i nerd to increase the ground clearance. Would be cool to have jack up wheels like a pallet truck.

@cszrwi Жыл бұрын
I use it at home to stack pallets and put things into the first floor of the barns. I have lifted 300kg to about a meter and that is a heavy as i need. If you need heavier just use thicker steel for the channels. It is the channels that deflect the most.

I cant say about the mechanical metal frame. But I got that very same motor he uses in the video. The factory claim can lift upto 300kg.

Hi my friend I'm mechanical engineer muhamian faleh from Iraq Babylon ..I need dimensions for this fork lift please
@cszrwi2 жыл бұрын
Hi I just made it free hand. The height is just enough to fit under the back hatch of my van and the width is just enough to get in a pallet. I think it’s a little tight, too wide. The vert profiles are a little too lite. But enough for loading my van. One thing I need is more ground clearance. I am trying to work out some mechanism to jack the wheels down a little once it is loaded. Because of safety I don’t want to give out any dimensions or even recommend a build. This is just for me. If I chop my hand off then it’s just my fault. 😊
@sydneyhoward37542 жыл бұрын
@@cszrwi but you can give me dimensions to my email so i do for myself. i live in nigeria so if i chop off my hand then i take full responsibility. ?
@cszrwi2 жыл бұрын
@@sydneyhoward3754 hi Sydney, I don’t have dimensions unless I go outside and measure it😀 which I might do in a bit. I very unwisely had to lift 500 kilos with it to unload a trailer last week and it worked great. Those little winches are amazing. I used a horizontal off road winch that has a high capacity but no safety features for verticle lifts. Don’t do that, use a vertical hoist with a proper brake etc. I made it too wide in the forks so some pallets don’t fit. But all Europallets seem to work. Also the u profile I used for the main verticle rails is not heavy enough. Could be a mm thicker. The other thing is it needs some kind of bearing at the top of the main vertical rail to stop the next section from trying to pull itself forward. I just have two steel tabs because I did not allow any clearance but it needs a bearing on each side or at high extensions it tries to twist forward and opens the rails a little. I just wanted to get my speakers on a pallet and in the van so I don’t have to keep loafing them every gig👌

Thanks, I will finish it one day. It is very useful even as it is. I have unloaded a 300 kilo bandsaw with it and it had no problem with that. I am thinking of making a lift mechanism for the rear rollers to add ground clearance. I don't have flat ground here and sometimes it bottoms out. Maybe I will make a v2 version with everything I have learned. Time is always the problem.

@cszrwi Жыл бұрын
This one is super light and because i spread the legs at the back out it is actually quite stable. The design needs changing for heavier weights. Needs to have rollers on the sections not just rollers on the carriage. That means leaving space for the carriage to pass them. But i have found even this light version super useful. Also i think a more closed u profile for the rails would help as well.
