I just made these using Hard White Wheat for a milder flavour and added a little honey( my kids have a sweet tooth) and these turned out PERFECTLY. 😍 I'm copying the recipe for sure. Thumbs up from the whole family of 11. Thank you.

I just set up my new Mock mill. It's my first ever grain mill. Your recipe here was my very first recipe I tried. They were delicious. They hardly needed maple syrup, because they tasted so good plain.

I agree, they don't need allot of maple syrup. Glad you liked them. :)

Just got myself a mill and was looking for a recipe where hard red wheat was used because thats all I have on hand. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Trying this tonight. I only have 2% milk or the buttermilk used in the original recipe. Have you tried it with the buttermilk instead of whole milk?
@tinajackson29302 жыл бұрын
Yes, I used hard red wheat and I have not use the buttermilk. It should still taste great. I hope you enjoy.

@@tinajackson2930 thank you. I will let you know. This will be our first recipe to ever make with our own grain and mill. Im so excited!! (and a little scared. ) Lol

I make a large batch and freeze 1/2 of them with wax paper in between a few of them so I take them out to defrost every so often and throw them in the toaster😋

Question: did you forget to put sugar or was that by design? Also Thank you for this video because everyone else uses soft wheat in their recipe but I only have red hard wheat and it comes out great.
@tinajackson2930 Жыл бұрын
No, no sugar is needed. The maple syrup is the sweetener. And I do enjoy the hard red wheat for these pancakes over the soft white or hard white.

Thanks for this video. I’m just starting home milling and very confused in the measuring. Did you grind 3 cups of the berries which gives you more than 3 cups of total flour? Of, did you just grind enough berries to end with about the 3 cups of measured flour? Hope that makes sense.
@tinajackson293011 ай бұрын
Good morning, yeah, that is always been a bit of a challenge. It’s somewhere in between both 🤷🏻♀️. I usually grind the 3 cups of berries, but don’t use quite that much, but it is more than the 3 cups of flour. I too struggle a little with that issue. I look at the consistency (it is usually closer to the berry measurement. I feel like it changes with the weather- if that makes any sense ). The best person to watch on grinding your wheat is Sue at Bread Becker’s and you can find them on KZbin. On my other channel, KZbin.com/ubeautifulcreation , I should be having Sue on as an interview probably within the next month so. I will definitely be asking her that question. It’s a bit of an experiment. It’s great that you are making such improvements for your health and your family. It does make a HUGE difference. ♥️

@@tinajackson2930 Thank you! I’ve decided I’m going to try non yeast things first, because everything I’ve tried for actual bread has flopped. I’m definitely trying your pancakes. I’ll try to watch for your video on your other channel too. Thank you!

I have the wondermill as well. Did you mill the grains on the bread setting or the pastry?
@UBeautifulCreation3 ай бұрын
I always do the pastry setting for everything

Should I save the batter or should i just save the pancakes?
@UBeautifulCreation3 ай бұрын
Batter will oxidize and turn black if not cook right away (like a banana oxidizes). Cook all pancakes then freeze the extras. I use a toaster to warm up the extras (defrosted extras).
