For us new gardeners it’s actually really helpful when you show us what plants like geraniums do when you transplant them. I know it’s not pretty. But it’s helpful. Honestly I don’t watch this channel to just see beautiful plants. I watch it for the helpful info you give every time you do plant :) I just wanted to encourage you to keep showing us those things.

We removed about 400 sq ft of grass this year. We terraced part of it and made large beds with a walk way. The wild life exploded! LOTS of hummingbirds, swallowtail and monarch butterflies, and Bees! So many bees, some I've never seen before. All visiting plants that were showcased on GA that are now in my garden. It has been an absolute pleasure to be out there this year, all thanks to Laura and Aaron for the instruction, motivation and encouragement! Thank you!

I have not stopped dreaming about the possibilities of the garden renovation in this north corner. I think you and Aaron are brave and absolutely correct in creating a complementary garden space in the Hartley's view. I envision brick side walk around a small pond and wooded area. A fountain and lights that invite you to explore in the moonlight. All of this vision, is visible when sitting in the Hartley. As if the Hartley were not enough; there is more!!

Though you may not like showing us struggling plants and "mistakes" in your landscape, it's makes your videos realistic and is encouraging to tenured and new gardeners! Also, your natural references in various videos to gardening in your previous growing spaces, which were smaller, are also an encouragement to those in a wide range of living and yard spaces. Keep it "real" and natural in ALL ways. I believe that's one reason GA has been such a hit on KZbin. Blessings from the "still waiting for our two weeks of fall" Deep South.

Really add to the space in the south garden. Peonies and sedum really fill in the spaces. It’s nice when you can move well established plants. Looks like you have a lot more than can be well utilized in the south garden. It’s just amazing how beautiful it’s looking already. Love it!😊💖🦋🕊

Wow lots accomplished this day! I swear Laura gets more done in a day than I get done in a month LOL! Love the new trees but am surprised that they didn't get more of different species. It will be a lot of the Autumn Blaze maples. I come from an area of the country where we lost SO many elm trees to Dutch elm disease and now are losing ash trees to Emerald Ash borer. We have learned that diversity in the selection/planting of trees is best, so you don't put "all your eggs in one basket" so to speak. But I can also see why they would like to mirror the maples along the straight driveway. I'm just amazed at how much this space has evolved in the last year! So beautiful!

That's what I needed... manhandling perennials being transplanted. I've been moving several and being so gentle but towards the end I just started pulling and said to them if you make it you make it. Surprisingly everything seems to be making it with plenty of time to get rooted in. My dilemma was that I planted annuals in bare places and to pull them in their glory just felt too wrong... but the perennials needed their spots.

I bought a hoselink thanks to you and of course i LOVE it. It is so worth it and I don’t have a money tree. It is solid and the hose is the highest quality possible it seems to me. It never kinks. My garden and the hose of course has extreme exposure in hot dry and windy ALL day exposure and it has held up to all that. As an afterthought i added the cover they sell and i couldn’t be happier. It is extremely well made and secures such that there is no way it will come loose. With the cover, it melts into the background and the dust and water spots are no longer an eyesore. Every time I see your hoselinks I think how much you would like the covers.

I thought for many years that we had maple trees in our back yard that was here when we bought our property. I was sure they were maple trees. Same leaf shape, same shades of red in the fall as your sunset maple. Beautiful trees, dark green leaves. Nope. We hired a tree guy to do some trimming this past spring. He told me they are not maples, they’re Sweet Gums. Actually he called them by their nickname, gum balls. I was so surprised. I looked it up and he was right. So, instead of maples, we have Sweet Gums that look like maples, but are native to our area and more hardy. NC Zone 7B. I’m still surprised by that. Lol😊

I have 8 Norway Maples and 1 Crimson King Norway Maple on my property, along with many other trees. They were about the size of your new trees when they were planted in 1984. They are now roughly 50' tall and still growing. They are beautiful, however, they are a major nuisance. They spread an enormous amount of seeds everywhere. The shade is so dense they make it impossible for anything to grow underneath including grass. The roots are thick and grow long the surface in all directions. And when they fall, which they do without warning, the whole tree out to the drip line upends and takes everything with it. I've had 2 fall and I'm lucky no one and nothing was hurt. They are on the invasive species list in my state and new plants are prohibited. I truly hope that this hybrid pacific sunset has had all the problems bred out of it but, I'm feeling nervous for you just hearing the mention of Norway maple.😬

Autumn Joy is super easy to move in Missouri. You can break off the stems an the stick them right in the ground, no roots needed. They then root in and you can have an abundance off them everywhere your heart ❤ desires!

👋🌞Good Wednesday morning, again, Laura! I just finished watching the berry and fruit harvest video. It was delightful!! 😊 Now onto this fun one. But, first, let me grab my coffee ☕️. BRB Unpause, now onto the fun... What a gorgeous crop of trees 🌳 🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁 I wish them all a happy new home coming. Wow, that popped-in picture of the Pacific Sunset Maple is SPECTACULAR!!!!! Those will be amazing on the 4 corners of the Hartley! 👋Hi Aaron! I see you back there mowing the lawn. Or should I say, playing with your man-sized toys? 😉😂🤣😂 We didn't have poisonous snakes, growing up in Ohio, either. We had garter snakes and we loved playing with them. You just had to be careful, as they do have a couple rows of small teeth and will bite. The bites can become infected, if the bite isn't cleaned immediately after being bitten. They don't have fangs, though. I know others have asked, but I don't recall hearing an answer; could you just get rid of the large outside boxwood and keep the smaller one and the fountain? I know the fountain doesn't work, but, you keep keep the center stand and the container; just run drip up into the container. Just wondering if Aaron would compromise for this option. I know how much you adore your boxwoods. You would have enough room for the pathway, with the large outer hedge and gap, where you had allium, both gone. Wouldn't you? Nice digging music, Aaron/Ken!!!!🤩 DANG, Laura, you are a draft horse, with your strength and endurance!!! Do you ever ache after working as hard as you do? My 61 year young body aches, just watching you work so hard. 🥴😱 How many plants, in total, did you move in this video? Oh my, I thought you and whomever was on the other gator were going to crash, with the video sped up.... Of course you weren't, but that gator came out of nowhere....That was a LOTTTT of work!!!! Awe, Mr Tree face 🤩. SIGHHHH down the dahlia row was definitely appropriate! YUMMMMMM, volunteer watermelons 🍉🍉🍉 That will be a nice, refreshing treat for everyone! Have a Blessed and Beautiful day/night 🌞/🌜✨️⭐️🌟⭐️✨️ 🌐 everyone! Kimberley F in Avondale, Arizona USA 🇺🇸 (Zone 9b) 🌞🌵💞

Oh to have your energy! 😅 It always amazes me at how much you can get done in day. What you accomplished in this video would have taken me a week. Great job! PS... LOVE all the trees. Excited to see them get put in.

Oh my! So wish my soil was that easy!! SC pine tree roots make every single hole I try to dig, major root removal. I have lived in this house 11 yrs with yard shaped and landscaping all ready here. I have removed and changed 90% of plants. But every hole is so time consuming to prep for new plants! Laura, I’m envious of how easy all this looked😂

Wow your garden is really coming together! Aaron way to go with the grass pathways. They really add life to the gardens. Love the trees!!! Can’t wait to see how you place them. Awaiting the stonework reveal, it’ll be so dramatic I’m sure! Do hope you uplight the trees along the drives😊

Great video. Your vision of the garden is amazing. Can’t wait to see the trees planted. The last space with the volunteer watermelon was amazing. The plants in that space were beautiful! Perfect mix in color texture and height♥️

the Pacific Sunset looks like my Sugar Maple that is over 30 yrs old. They give so much beauty each fall and the canopy....so nice I gave up growing grass and made the area a sitting area with flagstone.

Geesh, talk about instant impact! Moving those beautiful mature perennials into the South Garden just aged the look of it by years!!! Well done! Can't wait to see how you develop the new Secret Garden! Just FYI, I'm zone 6b and my cranesbill stays evergreen.
