Indeed it is, however, with this method you get them one at a time. Using a rolling pin and starch you can get many in one go. If you are proficient enough :)

In my country malaysia, u can find a lot of this street food. We normally fry it using a flat pan with a bit if oil added n filling can be a bit of oil or egg. It is very nice n we dip with dhall curry or chicken curry

Yes, I've seen those and there are a lot of ways you can use the phyllo sheets. If you can find the frozen variety in the store, they are always available to do something nice with.

Hello Revo, the store bought version is sold rolled between sheets of parchment paper. I don't see why it should not work here as well. It can be frozen for later use but might crack if not thawed completely in the fridge before use. Good luck and do let me know how it turned out if you freeze it.

What kind of flour did u use, is it bread flour (high protein flour) or ?

It is a specialty brand used for filo dough here. It is 14% protein. I've tried different bread flours and those work as well. But the dough is a bit stiffer. You need to either let it relax more or just add some percent of AP flour. Unfortunately I can't tell you how much because the flours do vary.
