A lot of other cooking videos boast "Very quick recipe", and yet have all their ingredients already magically prepped, chopped in a plate, and ready to be dumped in. It is very great to finally see quick recipe that also accounts for the time you need to prep the ingredients.
@calebfuller47134 жыл бұрын
It was always Jamie's thing - I think that's where the whole "Naked Chef" thing came from, because you actually saw him chopping and slicing and mixing stuff from scratch. Before that, cooking shows were always everything prepped, in little bowls, and then the end was always "now, here's one I've prepared earlier". Jamie - you saw the actual thing he'd cooked.
@Stormfox934 жыл бұрын

I think an herb of some sort would be great on top, maybe some chopped rosemary

How do you work the dough? Do I just stir all of it together? Doesn't seem that I need to knead it much?

@Jamie Oliver: Have you tried "Shaked Potatoes"? Peel potatoes, boil, drain. Add soft butter and chopped parsley into the pot. Put lid back on, secure lid and shake pot violently up and down for 1 minute. -> Mashed potatoes with bits in it. (Also great with soft butter and preserved green peppercorns.)

Damn the whole dough in that pan. Thats a lot of dough. I’d probably split it in two at least. But I like the method
@amypurt14064 жыл бұрын
Yep was far too much dough for me and came out too thick even after taking off a third, maybe my pan wasn't big enough

"You can knock it out in about 15 minutes" - _about_ being the keyword.

Also important is the unsaid proviso: "you can knock it out in about 15 minutes _if you are a chef with professional chopping etc skills_ ". It takes a lot longer A.) with worse equipment and B.) as an amateur.
