Greg just a tip from a pro dog trainer I am friends with. ALWAYS feed yourself 1st when your dog is watching. In a pack the Alpha always eats 1st. This is shepherd /dog psychology 101. Eat the first portion then allow pup to eat. You’ll avoid food guarding behaviors in the future. Happy bush-crafting!
@nonakind3 жыл бұрын
Respectfully, this isn't quite the same scenario. He is hand feeding and commanding the dog a certain behavior/action before he feeds him. If the dog was just taking the food and you take what is left or ate after- then what you said would be put in place. Just sharing 😊

With a combination of that angelic voice and those almost girlish good looks, he'll be signed by Simon Cowell for a boyband. The lure of big money and superstardom will be too great. Bushcrafts loss will become Teenie boppers gain. Superb video, in a long line of great videos you guys have put out, this is amongst the best. Thankyou. Kind regards P

Sorry about my previous comment. Wasn't quite finished... Pine pitch glue (melted pitch and ground charcoal) lasts almost forever and is easy to make. Patch your boat with glue and wood shavings or bark. Plenty of it around. Great thing about your videos is that you teach so much but there is so little time. There is always more to learn. Thank you.

Fin is the second most handsome furboy I know...next to my Bull! We are quite blessed to have them. As for the dogbane cordage, i find a little animal fat on my fingers seems to help hold the twists/reverse twists and makes it multi functional. Firestarter, Cordage, and if woven into a patch first, can patch a larger hole with wax and birch bark!

As for Finn and steaks, he knew he was getting his share, licking his chomps, keeping his eye on them, he sure looked the proud guard dog!! He’s a cutie for sure! Thank u

Great project and excellent reverse twist with the dogbane. A couple ideas for future videos... Cordage can be made from several sources and most people don't carry fish hooks in their pockets. Also, rose thorns cannot be found everywhere, but trees and dead branches can. The Native Americans often used a ''gorge'' made from wood or bone or antler material. Simple, quick, and easy. If it is lost, there is plenty of material laying about. Also, not everyone has a large candle with them, but there are pine trees all around you there. Pine pitch glue masts o very long time
