Layered fibreglass sheets with resin can make some serious lightweight armour material options for both sharp objects and minor ballistic protection.

Brother that armor looks sick. The shoulder pads compliment the chest piece beautifully. The smaller build actually makes it look more cool imo. It really allows for more mobility and its like a “fast swordsman’s” armor so to speak.

I would replace the aluminum plating with kydex plating that's stab resistant and works really well from what I've seen

Lets say that you are down on the ground in typical fight situation, what you think happens when someone graps your shoulders etc? They get ripped off and can be used to move you easily.

Kiddo, in 4:27 you mention nobody is going to get through that thing and you´re right. But trust me, bud guys will look for the UNPROTECTED parts like the joints. Yoyo that is absolutely true, that's why this armour is just really a shell for an incomplete project. By itself its just riot armour that can take impact and general hazards, riots usually just have impact based weapons not much people bring lethal weapons, so if we added kevlar as you suggest then I shall call this fully protected combat armour

If you shaped it right (a.k.a having curves instead of flat plates) and made it from plain sheet of metal (instead of stuff mean to be walked on and not slip), it would deflect arrows and spear no problem

That armor is pretty good to stop a knife but a bit more protection and thicker steel probably then you are well protected your doing well but..you definitely can do better

Solution to the heavier weapons would be to add a few layers of kevlar behind it. You can buy the kevlar fabric and resin online for REAL cheap

I uh just paused the vid when you said bricks and bats you know when someone use a blunt weapon of any kind the main target is your head right and cheat is not very helpful in that cause also bats are used almost exclusively head strikes I still like the armor by the you spelt armor wrong but its more likely to protect ageist less blunt weapons that are not directed towards your head legs more than your body for body armor you consider knife and bullet proof gear its more likely for you to be shot in chest in riots that hit with a brick in the chest or tramples that's comin way people die in riot is mass panic causes a stampede with runs over people not fast enough to out run it (aka) the person waring a 45 plus pound full suit of armor with metal plates slowing him down your better if can run away or hide somewhere with less that 4 others assuming you know you 1 of the if not 0 others the only reason to have armor is fighting back I if you are what with you a gun and I mean not a handgun but an automatic gun at least even then your likely far out gunned and should run anyway and most of is just motorcycle pads the only difference being the steel plate pattern "from ZNA" that's attached using identical rivet placements this is basically reused content that you did show your work for like you coped a text mostly but still got a lower grade if say anything I'm going to feel bad so I'm gonna go good luck dude
