Spot on stuff about why a tripod is useful. Most of the terrain I shoot in, prone is rarely usable because of mountains and vegetation. It's another reason to get off a square range where you will never see this problem. Precision Rifle Solutions also makes a decent saddle that isn't too expensive for non-DIY'ers.

Adding this quite a bit after made. Like the slik tripods for Norma” tripods. But hogsaddle hada Tripod speed out that meets all needs and more for right around $125 that doesn’t make sense to really look elsewhere unless you can afford more expensive and lighter tripods. But it is already setup for shooting and cerakoted od. Take a look.

You can certainly call it anything you like with no worries. To say you can't "call" it that for fear of copyright issues is a bit extreme. Now, If someone were to start producing them and calling them Hog Saddles it might be a different issue. Very good video CB.

"Right" - Nate Thanks for the upload. saved me $300. I actually picked up a Manfrotto from a Good Will for $9. Check out thrift stores for tripods guy's.

I found a 60" tall one at amazon for under $30.00 in black and with a 4.5-star rating. I would like to be able to use standing, so may get a 72" tall tripod. As long as the rating is very good and the verified customer reviews are good, should be o.k. May attach a shooting rest with front and rear saddle to mine, as well as diy saddle that you are showing us how to diy here. Thanks for sharing, AGW.

Im new yo tripod shooting. Have you noticed a difference in your point of impact while laying prone with a bipod compared to when using a tripod?

Built 2 so far, 1st one was built off a cheap tripod from walmart; ok, for the same money go on eBay and buy a contractors/surveying tripod.. you'll b money ahead, built the 2nd one from a checkpoint brand; no comparison to the cheap walmart tripod.

Did it really take you THREE videos to show how to make that? I’m not a negative guy, but I just watched all 3. I appreciate your efforts but that was long winded as hell. Brevity is the Soul of Wit.
