I built this sanding station for a total of 20€ and features a bench grinder, a belt sander, a disc sander and a rotary tool with 99 accesories.
-For the motor I used a food processor motor and hot glued a plastic pulley to the shaft.
-To make the belt I used a section of a power cord that I hot glued in a loop.

Your very creative and smart, thanks for sharing!....also, the comment section reveals an amazing number of 'expert craftsmen' who appear oblivious to the minimalistic/fast tempo theme to the build

I just want to say, this design is great! super useful tool, and the blender can have so many speeds! people are always going to criticize the build quality though, when in reality there are a ton of people who can build things very well, but would never have the brain power to create something like this. any idiot can follow plans and reduce vibration, the genius is in the idea itself.

I guess you'd better be off watching pr0n, Arwin. This guy shows you something that works and costs next to nothing. All you and I need to do is think this over and make it a bit better. That's how engineering works.

I hate to rain on your parade kid but the doubters are correct. If you want to make something then do it correctly. Not one component was in alignment or balanced. The rod was bent, to begin with, and the boards were in rough shape. Take some pride in what you do and show on this platform where you are likely to get some good advice instead of just going with " But fonctional." (mind you I am quoting and I am not responsible for your misspelling) It takes a lot of practice to get it right unless you are a natural, which you are not. I am self-taught and have been building and creating most of my life and I can say now I'm at the do okay stage. You've got a good idea here and you're resourceful, just take your time at a build the next time. What this guy and you'll see what I mean about taking your time." From The Wood"

Joe you are the incredible piece of shit as you are so negative, so what his first attempt is not the best, but these guys are doers and not mouthers like you, He will be first to work out any short comings and will improve on it when he does rebuild, I have found a lot of these guys do rebuilds and that is why there are so many wonderful projects for us to build and give a great workshops. If you were not all Mouth you would have designed and built a better one -BUT YOU ARE TOO FULL OF SHIT

Dude I applaud your creativity! Bravo. But how can you say " no wobble "? Nothing is balanced , nothing is square or true. I really do not wish to criticize but man , a blender motor , really. Stay safe , I hope your in Ontario because the injuries will be very expensive if your out of pocket for them. You Americans are brainwashed big time! Universal health care is worth a mountain of gold when you start to get older. Having OHIP does not make you a communist or even a socialist! Ask any Canadian if they truly appreciate Universal healthcare ? Not one of us would be without it. I make Jesse Helms look like a real lefty. Stromm Thurmond is so far left of me I make him look like Castro. Having no debt and an OHIP card with $20.00 bucks in my pocket makes me wealthy. My Net Worth is in the top 1/3 of all of the people in North America. I wouldn't give or trade my OHIP coverage for anything. My doctor drives in from Michigan everyday. Paid on time.
