Today I finish up the frame on my snowmobile powered drag quad and see if she's got a healthy motor. This motor was first found on my 4x4 lawnmower build and now it starts a new life on this quad.

I’m 14 and bought and old 800 triple I got to ride it about 40 miles and it was spinning track the whole way from the torque we still have ruts in the pasture from it.

Make sure you put a beefy clutch guard on that beast! I have seen those belts break and rip right through the aluminum footwell of a snowmobile.

Build a outer bearing setup into a guard for the belt and jackshaft. Highly recommend some rear tire guards for your feet. No front brakes is a bad choice, if a rear tire blows at speed youll immediately be pulled to that side if you even think about using the rears. Just a thought.

@@jammerlupardi8782 you might want to both check your information and not risk someone else's safety. The only drag cars without front brakes are top fuel rail cars due to the extra long wheelbase. LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE DOES, INCLUDING MOTORCYCLE DRAGS.

Perhaps you could overcome the limited cooling system by adding a second radiator?? We ran a 440 all day long, using two heater cores grpmsn old truck as radiators.... Worked like a charm😮

Cant tell i you did in the video but if not a tip on tigging aluminum easier to lay a bead is to fit your parts where they fit corner to corner or in this case the caps diameter should be just a little bigger than the inside diameter about an 1/8" gap around +/- depending on thickness of material, oh and the biggest is make sure your in a comfortable position and pratice before welding to so not get stuck in uncomfortable positions, sucks lol...oh and speed dap, go,dap,go,dap...been a while for me i probably could tig aluminum for nothing now 😂..

What about if you added a turn buckle with a bearing block on each then bolt it on each end of the driveline to stop the flex that would also give you a mounting spot for its cage

The chinesium is most probably had many life cycles already, or the process is just sub par and leaves too much dirt in the material. Or they just mix and match whatever grades of aluminium and the result is some unweldable shenanigans. On another note, I think I haven't seen any other youtuber changing 2 stroke pipe orientations as much as you have :D Don't you prep the surfaces on the pipes when you weld?
