Even easier and cheaper: 1. 1 Liter plastic container 2. At least 1 banana peel 3. Water 4. Dish soap First cut a hole near the top of bottle, insert banana peel, add water and dish soap. Hang bottle near a wasp nest for best results. Replenish mixture when water is full of dead wasps/insects. *Does NOT harm honeybees.

FYI.... Spray Pump fill with DAWN (I prefer the Dawn Concentrate 2X the power...BLUE ...) actually bought the Mega bottle this year 2020 due to Central Texas farm land seeming extra infested with Wasps this year. We ADD WATER FIRST.... Duh... I actually like using Warmer/Hotish water (it seems to mix easier) but ADD Soap Last or you get a lot of sudsing. we add probably 1/2 cup to 1 full Cup of Dawn (maybe excessive but...if you'vebeen stung...its NOT). I SWIRL it around Gently to try and keep Suds to a minimum. Hopefully you can find a Decent Pump Sprayer that lets you adjust the spray nozzle area/width. Hubby likes a Tight Spray line but I think ever so slightly opened would work better in actually hitting them. It gets on them & the nests causing a coating but it kills almost instantly 1-2 seconds. BUT THEY DROP. Might waddle around a few seconds but they die.... DO THIS AT DUSK OR IF YOUR BRAVER THAN US LATE AFTERNOON (on Sunny Bright days obviously).... PS. Sweatshirts with hand towels stuffed in arms & around Neck (lifts fabric off yor skin) & a HAT with Towel hanging down stuffed into Sweatshirt.... yes you'll look like a crazy freak but a Safe UnStung Crazy Freak!..... Our Traps aren't working great this year or fast enough Hubby has killed 100's in the last 60 days with his trusty Dawn Pump Sprayer..... would include pictures but dont see the option to attach to comment.

Previous wasp behavior (late summer late afternoon): fly into glass repeatedly, then crawl around the edges, or hang out at the eaves. New wasp behavior: unchanged, but scouts give up way faster, and the occasional contra bastard crawls up to the treated area (repellent seems effective at the do-I-land-or-not stage). Other insects and birds don't seem affected. Used boiled hot pepper combined with peppermint oil when cool -- house smells great. Still gonna try traps and decoy. And if the nest is on the house, there'll be blood, otherwise "live and let live" indeed.
