Jesus Christ man! In you efforts to "simplify things" you unnecessarily complicate them. I'm not trying to knock you - I've been watching your channel for years - but you're a man of words (too many some would say), and they often come out in a way that obfuscates rather than clarifies. I like this. Once I was riding motorbike in the smokie mtns and came across a guy who had the cleanest bike. And he was waterless washing it with unmarked container. When I inquired he said it was tap water, 1 oz of dish soap and 1 oz of turtle wax. Also, when I waterless wash I dust top half of the car starting with the least dirty (most visible / ex. Hood, roof...) and shake towel out as I go because once you start to use solution, the tower accumulate dirt that is harder to shake loose. Cheers!!

Once you see dirt on your towel, you should discontinue using that surface of the towel. If not, you have created sandpaper to wipe back and forth on the surface. Wipe in one direction. It will prevent pulling the grit back across the surface.

@WGIL: I think you mean gritty dirt. Light dirt or dust is normal, and the reason you have the waterless wash with you- if you are traveling.

You’ll have to. It’ll become too contaminated. That’s the downside of waterless wash; using up a lot of clean rags that’ll mean more laundry.

I did something similar. I took a rinseless solution of Uber Rinsless wash and added an oz of Megs Ultimate Synthetic Wax. Works well. I also thought rinsless washes have some cleaning power? Dont think wax alone does.

Distilled water is essential to a car wash formula, because it doesn't put things that cause hardness into the soap and prevent the soap from working well, and sheeting off. Warm water is usually good too, so it mixes easily. If you get foam when you spray it on, you should try a different formula, or try changing the pH. Foam needs to be rinsed off with WATER.

Not really. Foam is just aerated product. The air will disappear. Check out Ammo Frothe.

What if I mix up a wash and wax carwash soap with a sealant like Ice seal N shine, will it do the trick? (Waterless wash)

I'm hoping for a 'waterless'-style solution as follows. Between the times I thoroughly wash and wax, I want to rinse away dirt & dust, spray a solution on the wet car to lift remaining dirt & dust, and final rinse (garden hose or pressure washer). This would then be topped off with Turtle Wax Ice & Seal n Shine or Xymol. I suppose I'll use a high foam car wash soap in the recipe or just buy a retail waterless product. Suggestions?

Why dont you just use ONR. Its built for waterless wash. I use ONR with carnuba wax. Mix it in a pump sprayer then you good to go. Ratio 10 cl ONR 90 cl water.

I agree. When all is said and done, ONR you get more bang for your buck and there is no measuring per sa. Plus the extra bonus of carnuba wax is a bonus. It's a no brainer!

The Folks criticize this method... Hello, its water & a microfiber cloth .... with an oz. of lubricant added. If you scrub hard - you're an Idiot!! What scratches are people so anal about? Drive through a Car Wash & you'll gain 4x more visible scratches. Good Job Darren- I'd listen to you & the Guru!

Still no sound?? Why not use your "smart" phone, and lip-sync your voice. Even the subtitles don't match or make sense. Until you fix things, you should put the formula(s) in this video's description. Discussing the difference between the Metric an imperial systems isn't relevant either. Tell the viewer to figure out the volumes using a simple Web search or chemistry/ cook book.
