Homemade Weed Killer (Really Effective & Really Cheap!)

Hi Guys, Hope you give this one ago. Just a quick tip... the stronger white vinegar smells more, so if your using it on an area you always sit in then go for the distilled. Have you tried this before?

You can get stronger vinegar from places like Amazon and the effect is visible within a day. I doubt if the salt really adds anything as it's the vinegar that is doing the damage. But if the supermarket vinegar is cheap enough then the small amount of additional time involved is pretty irrelevant.

Yeh cost me about 50p so I'm very happy. Has been far to many law suits against the makers of weed killer in the US so I'll be sticking with the natural stuff. 🙏🌱

Vinegar is not allowed by local law here (NLD) in many places. (still use it,but its illegal)

great video. All I need now is an organic recipe to kill caterpillars. I was told a mixture of vinegar, water and castille soap would dispense of them, but i am worried the vinegar might kill my plants! Happy gardening 🙂

The vinegar will definitely kill the plants. Im hearing there has been a boom in catapillers this year. As farmers try to grow cover crops for soil improvement. So I guess at least some good has come from it 😬 I'm netting most things now.

@@veggiepatchideas Imay tray it out on a sacrificial plant. I feel the salt is teh ingredient that is killing the weeds in your mixture. I net all my crops to but am really fed up with the hassle of removing the nets from 16 beds every week to check on the crops. I find whitefly can build up underneath. I am considering using Bacillus to battle the problem. Cheers

@@bewoodford2807 hope Glen doesn’t mind me replying as well, but I’ve been using Bacillus Thuringienis for my caterpillars and it’s worked really well, I’ve only just started using it, so early days, but so far so good. Hope that’s of interest to you. 🐛❌👍
