Do we have to referigerate it after it's ready or will it remain good even in the kitchen cabinet. Can we make it in large quantities to be used for the whole year because after the winters are gone, you don't get such juicy and fresh cabbage. I had been searching for the savourkraut recipe since long because I know that it's very beneficial for our gut and immunity. You have explained the whole process so well with all the tips and tricks. Thanks so much lovely lady.

It needs to be refrigerated once it's sour as per your liking. You cannot make a big batch for a year because slow fermentation is going on in the fridge too. No doubt it is an amazing probiotic. Thanks for liking my recipe :)

You can use purple cabbage and carrots. Yes the liquid is to be consumed.
