Making Hydraulic Vise - using Car Bottle Jack

Today I will show you how I made a hydraulic vice from scratch using relatively inexpensive and available elements.
I used the simplest car bottle jack and several kilograms of steel.

Placing the fixed jaw even with the front of the table helps use that edge to help stabilize longer pieces gripped vertically. Doing so also allows you to grip longer pieces vertically limited only by the vise's height above the floor.

👍🏻Super Teil !👍🏻 Der Schraustock steht allerdings nicht richtig , er müsste ein Stück nach vorne, so das die Vorderkante der feststehenden Backe mit der Werktischkante bündig steht , so kannst Du längere Bauteile senkrecht spannen ! 🤘
