actually not a terrible taping job for homeowner man give you A for effort . just tip I tape for living in connecticut. if your gonna use quickset like 45 or 90 i recommend the mesh it make the job easier for the non professional just for the flats and butt joints. just stick it on use the 45 and mud over it with a 6 or 8 in knife or trowel. the corners would just thin down regular joint compound like green top usg and use paper tape.

I’m a diy guy that’s done a lot of drywall hanging, taping, finish coating to final painting. I’m pretty good. I strongly recommend that anyone new to taping and mudding drywall go to Vancouver Carpenter. He had dozens of YT videos on every aspect. He’s “the drywallingest carpenter on the internet.” His joke not mine. I was making so many mistakes in my choice of mud and tape it’s not funny. I binge watched probably a hundred hours of videos on drywalling and his are far above the rest, and he’s entertaining. I thought I was doing ok until I watched his videos then I got a lot better really fast. Good luck.

Nice videos. Sorry for the ignorance but what is the taping for?

Did you sand between each layer of mud, or just at the end?

No. But I inspect it and touch up any really bad spots.
