I'm really, truly, and honestly happy you were able to get what you were looking for or something similar to what you're looking for. If that's not a quad cab, I think you could do yourself a disservice getting rid of it 2016 (especially after all the money you spent to rebuild what was tore up). Your babies are getting older and it's not like you can pile them in the front seat anymore (legally). Only you can see "your" bigger picture! But I am truly happy you were able to get what you needed. As for all these companies not being able to hire people, I still cannot wrap my head around this. The government's $1,600 or whatever the total would have been should have been gone a Long Long Million Years Ago. Bills have to be paid and people have to eat.

I actually walk backwards when trimming and edging for my best results. That's kind of how I taught myself way back when. Like you said everybody has to find what works best for them. You seem like a good teacher as far as offering good encouragement and showing different ways to do things. That way Lathan can take all those and make his own out of them and know that it's ok to do that. Great work folks

Lathan is laying down some pretty straight stripes. Nice job for someone only working for a week or so. And great coaching by TQ & Shawn. I prefer to walk backwards when trimming around chain link fence. I find the trimmer line doesn’t get caught and break as much.

After seeing Latham using the Darwin, I’m glad I just got mine in. I’m 6’4” and I hate trimming because of what it does to my back. Latham looked a lot more comfortable.

I was watching Latham with the trimmer my back hurt for him. He looked more comfortable with the Darwin's Grip. Congratulations on the new truck. The trade value is generally tough, you might actually do better to sell yourself around this time next year without adding a significant amount of mileage. Essentially if you bridge the gap so to speak you could increase the revenue depending on the nut. The weather you all are experiencing is very wet right now.

Nothing wrong with having a spare truck around. In the end when you mentioned about most vehicles having to be sent to the dealer for work, my daily driver has a headlight which isn't easily accessible. So now I have to spend part of a Saturday at the dealer just to get what should be an easy d.i.y. fix.

I would hang on to the ‘16. Now that you have a full time employee you could have 3 trucks or 2 with a backup truck running in the winter and eventually 2 mowing crews and a crew to do mulch jobs, pruning and extra work. Selling the’16 would keep you where you are, just with a little bit more of a dependable vehicle.

Nice work everyone. Glade to hear you found a new truck. I just ordered a new Toyota RAV4 for my wife. Was told it could be two to three month before it’s built. There is nothing new on the lots in NH either. Another Toyota dealer had said a year wait so I think we got lucky with the dealer I found.

TQ, on that obstacle you showed at 22:30 if you can slip a pipe over the end and straighten it up a little you can take a sledge hammer and drive it down. That type has an expandable anchor on the end with two little pieces of metal to hold the nut in place. A couple whacks with the sledge will drive the entire rod down.

The plow prep package comes with duel alternators and batteries, unless Ford changed it since 2020. My dealer said the same thing, but I don't think this is accurate. The spec for these trucks with the plow package requires 2 batteries from the up fitters. I have not received my 2022, but my order went in Feb. I will find out when it comes in if Ford changed this option or not. I have not decided if I will take delivery of it or not, but as of today I would not take it unless things drastically changes in the economy.

hey, Shawn on your truck get the dual batteries. You can get it added after a truck is built. My dealer quoted me around 1500$. I found out on my 2017 f-250 that when I am plowing with my truck, it actually cant keep up with the power demand and ends up dimming the lights, the dash, and the radio will cut out on mine when I do any function with the plow. I even had the heated seats in my truck go back to the setting it was on previously which was kinda annoying, so I definitely recommend getting the dual batteries. hope this helps and keep growing man. You are doing great.

Rain out day here in S.E. Illinois. We hit it hard yesterday because of two days of rain coming. The bad thing its heading N.E. your way. 😒 Been a very wet year. Saturday I was finally able to get to one on my jobs. It's been under water since the first of the year. Yes, I did get a mower stuck it just sunk into the ground. However I used my other mower and pulled it out. Seems I better get a longer tow rope too. I also almost got my Toro Titan stuck. Waiting for the 90 deg. temps coming next week. I might check on the Darwin grip I have a partner that's about 6'6 and he has to bend down a lot too. I have to use a shoulder strap with mine. Yes TQ hitting one of the anchor's is not good 😢 Beside bending a blade it will be a bear to get that blade off, big prybar needed. I took my battery powered cutoff saw and cut it to ground level.

The tie down steak that is sticking up where they put in a new one. If you take a sledge hammer with you next time you do that yard you can pound it over a bit more to where it is below grade, if that is something you are able to do on that property.

Under a LLC never finance equipment through the business.. you the operator own the equipment and lease it to the business - lawsuit purpose a secondary party cannot take the leased equipment to the LLC. They can only take what the business owns through a lawsuit. Just something I’ve learned plowing snow.

I'm short 5 foot 4 and string trimming absolutely kills me, I use the harness and it helps but this year I'm changing things in my yard that I wont have to use it anymore.
