Great video. I just changed both. Pressure and return. My 07 has no pressure sensor. I read the instructions about half way through. On mine the fitting on the pump is a quick disconnect. Should be able to pry between the nut and the square piece on line and it will pop out. I did it the way you did. My return was rusted through and stuck in the rack. I used a heat gun and finally got it out. 2 lines,5 hours out in the gravel. Getting too old for this chit. Lol

I'm doing the timing job on my 09 f150 so I decided to change out the leaky ps high pressure line while I had easier access. Well, it's STILL a huge pain. I know the dealer wanted big money to replace it. Thanks for the video!

Some tips to make this job a lot lot lot easier from reading the forums is, remove the fan and fan Shroud it will give you an infinite amount more room, and in order to not have to cut an 18mm is to pull the pulley off. This video was helpful not a lot videos or forums on this, I was replacing my power steering pump when I bent the line and had to replace it

I replaced the return last year. Probably should have done both at the same time. Pressure line is pretty corroded and just started leaking today. Looks more “fun” than the return.

If you are not sure which one to get have the dealer run your VIN # and ask them for the OE part number so you can match it up. Hope this helps you out.

I have a 2003 ford expedition, the line is broken inside of the fitting and the bolt around it is strip so I have no way to take it out, is there any hose strong enough that I can use over the old fitting to make a new line over the old one for the high pressure line, or do you have any suggest what can be done in such horrible situation? Thank you
@HomeOwnerRepair2 жыл бұрын
Can you get a small pair of vise grips on the stripped bolt to turn it free? Not sure if you can get an easy out in that spot to remove the bolt.
@ralphwhitaker87612 жыл бұрын
@@HomeOwnerRepair nah there is no room at all, but I did try a small vise grip it goes in circle, I am going to try and weld another bolt on it and take it from there, if not I'll have to change the whole thing or take out the whole differential and try to cut it off, either way it's a lot of work, but thank God it happened in that kind of weather, not the cold weather which would be hell

What is the line just below that one ? With the 10 mm bolt plate? At the 5 minute mark ?That’s the one that’s leaking on mine. You took out the 10mm bolt but only removed the top line. Forgive my ignorance. I don’t know the names and I’m in a pickle

Couldnt you have cut the lines, pulled the pump. Replace the lines and re installed by fishing the lines back down. This seams more difficult than it needs to be
