Its a safety issue for seniors...single women with or without children..and for children. We don't want strangers casing our neighborhood. letting their animals urinate and defecate on our lawns...throwing trash down...having loud partys...WE LIVE HERE FULL TIME...THIS IS OUR COMMUNITY...OUR HOME...WE SOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE A SAFE NEIGHBORHOODS WITHOUT AIR BnBs

It’s not a safety issue for anyone if you properly screen guests and only rent to families. It’s really simple

Yes. Same here. I live where there are tons of resorts and hotels. They come to my street of senior citizens and young families to party, right between 2 schools, a Boys and Girls Club, and family park, when they could get a hotel right in the heart of things, less than a mile away, waaaay cheaper. We've got 6 on our little street. Big speakers outside, in our little, suburban neighborhood. Our houses have always been nice, natural brick colors. The Airbnbs are painted thin, slipped white with black trim. It's weird looking. Who paints brick, other than a few with a particular taste? You don't have to paint brick. Lol They're also paying twice what these old houses from the '50s are worth, then charging $800 a night! Lol Why adults want to rent party houses for $800 2 doors away from 2 schools and right by a Mormon church, a charismatic church, and a Discount Tires is beyond me, when they could pay 75-80% less for a hotel 2 doors from nightclubs, restaurants, and all kinds of events and interesting places and people.

In Madisonville, next door airbnb had a group that blocked my driveway and had to get the police involved. Their guests stayed 5 months with barking dogs all day and night, just awful, no respect, like how does one comfortably block someone driveway preventing them from leaving their home thats like asking for permission

I worried for the safety of my child while random strangers are sleeping across the street.

There are two ways to avoid making neighbours upset 1) Do NOT rent to anyone under 30 or to singles groups like all men or even all women. Families only 2) set a 4 day minimum. People who want to party will find a home that allows a 1-2 day minimum.

Wow! You move. Your neighbours don't want you there. They don't like you.
