Having worked in flooring for a good number of years, you are absolutely correct the boxes should be opened to let the flooring acclimatise for at least three days.

We laid plank flooring in our den about 15 years ago. They didn’t have them in the quality they have today but it still did great for the time being. We decided to replace our carpet in the living room and hallway recently and upgraded to the waterproof flooring right before Thanksgiving. There have been some scrap flooring sitting in our backyard through the weather since then and the scraps have not swelled up like the older flooring in our den where grandkids spill something and don’t clean up and I find it the next day. The den is next to be redone with this newer flooring. It’s even easier to lay than the flooring from 15 years ago. Much faster installation process. We did not use the LVP used in the upstairs in this video. It would be even easier because you can cut it with a knife. We have to use a saw for ours, but it works out. I now have to finish caulking the new baseboards we installed since they used pressboard in the building of our home. Dogs are NOT their friends. 🤣😂😅🤣😂

We put a pad and barrier on our slab and laid out the real wood, hand scraped planks to adjust to room temp. Yours looks very nice!

How come they just open boxes put down flooring put in place when I talk to the flooring experts they recommend take out floors from boxes in mixed lengths lay out let the floors get used to the air environment for few days then put down …

That would be laminate flooring with wood. Idsay vinyl doesn't expand, or as much. I was told the same thing. This video is also edited and over time.

You are correct, it's advisable to purchase the flooring & leave it in room where it going for a few days. You don't need to remove it from the boxes

Is there any way to make the material fit underneath the baseboards? I hate the quarter round look and it always gets so dirty accumulating dust so close to the floor. How much work to pull the baseboards off and could you reuse them after the floor is in?

I’ve done it in many rooms as I also hate the look of quarter-round at the bottom of the baseboard. You can absolutely reuse the baseboard if taken off carefully. I replaced mine throughout the house with a higher (6”) one that was more ornate - so I didn’t have to worry about being too careful with removal.

Removing baseboard is simple, head on by sm. Nails. Yes you can reuse it if it's in good shape

I hate it too. I won't install it like this. Instead, I use a razer blade and cut the top edge of the trim. Then, I carefully pull all the trim off the wall. I then break off the old nails/pins, and store the trim to be re-installed later. Prior to pulling it off, I use painters tape, and I label each piece so it's easier to place back after the floor is installed. It's more time to pull off, but once it's off, installing the flooring is much quicker. Yes, you have to nail it back in place, and then putty, caulk and paint, but I think it's much more professional and better looking.

You are meant to start at the end you just finished at, otherwise your having all the shorter lengths at the same end like you showed in the video 😂

Floating floors is never recommended in wet places like bathroom tile is the best for bathroom. They make wood looking tiles now.

Yes, this flooring can be used in a bathroom as it is water resistant. Just make sure you clean up water and do not leave it on the surface of the floor.

He's removed staples with pliers 😂😅😅😅😅 Bro used scraper 5 min and you done with room. Nails needs install every 2 inches. But this is 7 or 8 inches wood wide needs used glue. Glue down
