This is just a temporary solution, waterproofing be done from positive side, below the tiles im the bathroom. That is the cause of leakage.

pls tell me ki meri bedroom ki wall pure plaster wall hai 20years purani but uspe paints ki kai layer ki wajah se wo smooth ho gai hai, medium level pe smooth hai ab mughe uspe wall smothing karni hai to mein kya karu pehle white cement fhir putti ki direct putti, kyonki mere dusre room mein direct putti hui hai but wo papadi chutne lagi Or wall dull ho gayi hai to kya karu pls suggest. For ultra smooth and shiny wall ( budget time tension nhi hai but durable or shiny wall chahiye))))

To damp proof walls five bottom layers of walls should made of stones, and foundation should made of gravel and cement, this way moisture won’t be seep up and walls will stay dry. Bricks are pours and moisture travels upward from ground.

Fundamentally the problem is one of seepage and concrete is porous. Depending on its density and microstructure as dictated by its composition, integral waterproofing agents, and sometimes sufectants. Even rebars are often coated in an elastomeric compound to resist corrosion. The fundamental problem here is the source of water and a drainage pathway needs to be created. If possible, the structure could be undermined and stacked with bentonite clay.

As a maintenance bricklayer ,city ang guilds trained .your methods are short term .aproper job is to put in a traditional d.pc for rising damp plus a thorough cavity clean ,secondly if damp is occuring at high level ( upstairs) check chimney ,flaunching,flashing ,pointing ,gutters,need to be clean and a check on the membrane under the tiles,also timbers for wet rot..many things to be checked ,fixed, is it cavity or solid wall,how porous are the brick.ect ,any one that reads this ,I can offer full quality advice
