I almost laughed out loud when I saw that one woman's hat in the first train photo! Imagine, going in to the hat shop, sitting down to try on hats, & falling in love with THAT ONE! And, the designer who decided that it was going to be a style someone would love! Mind-boggling!---I almost expected you to say that Timex was still capable of working again...remember their slogan?! "Takes a lickin' & keeps on tickin'"!---I love finding out about birds in other parts of the country, & that one singing over your head was driving me nuts, wanting you to tell me what kind it was!---Hmm, those women in long skirts on the hill side, harvesting something? Prepping for something?
@FindingAmerica8 ай бұрын
I don't know Alana, I think a light and airy meringue would be a very desirable thing to have atop your hat. :) Always great to have in a lack of a snack pinch. I resisted the old Timex slogan as it just seemed to be too low of a hanging fruit. LOL I came across a video short out there that had ten songbirds and their songs. I remember that one being on there but I just can't recall it now. It was in a bush right next to me and I figured it was warning me to stay away from here little ones. The women on the hillside is a very interesting photo as they were Appalachian women from this area that lived in the mountains. They were actually clearing a hillside to grow their corn on. There wasn't much flat land in the mountains and they made do with the land they had. The hillside probably got the morning sun each day. It was a tough way of life but they adapted to the obstacles. Love that photo.
