It doesn't even have to get that bad. My parents yelled, threatened and accused - I vividly remember one night when my mother stormed out of the house threatening to kill herself and leave my dad with a house full of upset kids - but there was rarely hitting. All you need is the threat of violence and the possibility that it could get turned on you, a small defenseless child with nowhere else to go. I can relate to the flood or fear that comes with a door opening, in case it's them. If it's them, even if they're in a good mood, you don't feel safe when they're present.

The reason why they dont show it often is because statically its not often that its happens. 9 out of 10 cases of severe domestic abuse is man propagating it against women and kids, so... I'm sorry for what happened to you, really i am, but you have to recognize that your case is an exception. for the vast majority of time it is male violence, so its only fair that its the portrait that's seen more oftenly. advoce for more representation of women abusers, well there IS representation, just not as much (in accordance to reality) wont help because it pretends like it a "both sides" thing when its just not rhe case, and it work for villainizing the groups thata more likely to be the victim.

I have abusive uncle. His name is Scott. Despite his age, he is physically violent towards his wife and children. My cousin, his daughter, even got two black eyes from him. When I was just a newborn baby, I immediately knew that there was something wrong with him. When I was 5 years old, I was playing on the stairs after church. Scott came up to me and said, "Howdy," in a chilling tone. I asked him if he could go to another location, which he did. I ran up to Daddy and said, "That guy scares me!" Daddy then said, "He's just your uncle Scott. He won't hurt you." When I was 6 years old, I was studying the Greek alphabet after I saw it in a dictionary. When I went to church, Scott wrote the Greek alphabet from alpha to omega on paper and gave it to me. I was still deathly afraid of him, though. When I was 7 years old, Scott drove me and my little brothers home from church. He drove through the backyard, literally driving on the grass. I was still deathly afraid of him. When I was 8 years old, I asked my aunt Susan, Daddy's older sister, Scott's wife, where Scott was and why he didn't preach church anymore. Susan said that her husband has always been such a mean and abusive man and physically violent towards her and their children. I last saw Scott when I was 22 years old at his oldest daughter's funeral. I was still deathly afraid of him. When I saw him, I nearly got a heart attack. He just said, "Howdy," in that same chilling tone that always gave me nightmares. He then offered me to sit next to him, which I refused. Just in case you're wondering, Scott didn't beat his oldest daughter to death. His oldest daughter died of breast cancer. Anyway, Scott just said, "Hannah, you're my niece. I feel so alone. I'm an old man." He was only in his mid 60's, which isn't even old at all. Except for Scott had already looked like an old man when I was a newborn baby. He was only in his early 40's, which is considered extremely young nowadays. I am 27 years old and will be 28 years old in August. I am still deathly afraid of Scott, who is 70 years old now. Despite his age, he is still physically strong and physically abusive. I'm so glad that his wife, children, children-in-law, and his unborn granddaughter, are safe from him. My aunt Susan and her kids are all kindhearted. Her children-in-law are kindhearted, too. Because of Scott's abuse, his children are all very shy. The daughter he gave two black eyes to neglects her appearance. His oldest son often claims that he is way too shy to talk to people and teach Sunday school. Thanks a lot, Scott. You permanently destroyed your children's confidence. You will never get to meet your granddaughter. You are just a big bully, you know that?! I am ashamed to call you my uncle!

One of Scott's daughters, my cousin Martha, is pregnant. She's married and pregnant with a baby girl.

However, that's only like sometimes when they are struggling to find some kind of common ground in order to resolve it. its LITERALLY luck based. you cant control who birthed you or raised you. you can only hope for help

Please, know you're not alone. Also, if you have a pet, charities like cats or dogs protection can help you with your pet too. Please, remember you're not alone ❤

Know this b.s. well. But I was not crying in my bed. I was in the middle, fist fighting and trying to break it up. Needless to say, it has had permanent effects on my mentals. So unnecessary.

I took was a victim. Fortunately I got out while my boys were still in diapers. And it's true, while starting over is hard, it's THE best thing u could ever do. Both for yourself & your children. 😊😇🙃

I remember hiding in the bathroom every time this has happened. After my mother seperated from my dad , she lived with her family again but there was no piece to , always argument between them and my peace space was the bathroom where I would try to control my panic. Through those days has ended when my mom cutoff her ties with her mother and brother , even now if someone close to me started an argument, my heart starts racing.

ever since I was 3 my parents have been arguing every single year and to mention it’s been 10 years now. There has been hitting and abuse that this has led to the police 2 years ago but no matter what happens you know what they say “family sticks together” and to mention it’s been very severe but my parents are still married which I’m happy to see. Thankfully 2 years ago after my dad going to therapy for being abusive and going to court. He was good to stay with us and still loves us which I am thankful for.❤❤❤ so guys please take a think of what u do before u do it. My parents are currently married for 14 years and there has been so much arguing but also forgiving. I don’t know where I would be right now if they divorced but I’m happy for my dad and my mum because they figure out things in a day or three❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ so please guys divorce isn’t the right path it’s love 🥰
@hiwall4883Ай бұрын
That maybe ok for some, obviously your Dad wanted to change his ways, and chose to accept help, unfortunately a lot of people don't want to change or take responsibility. In that case, it's better to divorce.

@@humanlydum_b281 The argument doesn't make any sense in the context of the video, people aren't upset the humans are safe/not dead, they're upset about the dog. Why exactly do the two need to be mutually exclusive? Dog haters see any concern for an animal as an affront to humanity.
@heresarandompictureofashih855712 күн бұрын
Dog haters make having an issue with a literal animal their entire personality. Ooh, look at me. So quirky and edgy because I shit on things that other people find meaning and enjoyment in. That's you. That's what you sound like.
