Artists always see their own mistakes. It's why I dont enjoy eating my own baked goods! Your work is beautiful. That was a vulnerable thing to do by showing your work and how you are learning. I had a great time watching this and it gave me some confidence!!! That Everyday Watercolor book is Jenna Rainey's. She has a great KZbin channel you and your daughter would like. Jillee Arts is my daughter's fave watercolour youtuber. We like buildings. Also Thecherrypipangel, Helen Cryer, Julie Torrens (mixed media and art supply reviews), Laura Horn Art, Shana Circe, Tracey Telgen Art... we are on a watercolour binge at night these days because I don't know what I am doing. 😊

"I covered mine with black marker!" well then you can state it's a mixed media piece!!! Totally counts. You should do the flip thru of your watercolour journal! This is a great class. I haven't seen anyone do anything like this and do a video on it so thanks! Also, the hairdryer is your friend. Just blow that wet stuff out and voila! In a minute, you have dry watercolour and can begin painting again. If your daughter is impatient, have her do 3 pieces at a time and then each day, she can work on one, layer, ink over it, and aways have something to be working on. You can bring in photography and have her take a photo of her art each day or every 10 minutes she works on a piece, print them out and flip through them to see the changes. That might keep her busy/enjoy the idea of doing bits and pieces. You can either trace over things that are too difficult to paint and then transfer the images to watercolour or you can just practice watercolour and cut the work out and do découpage. Love your video

Yes! I just discovered the hair dryer for watercolor 🤣Why did I not do this sooner?! So many great suggestions! Also, I love mixed media 🤪 My problem is that sometimes I overwork things when I should leave it alone!

Ok so i got both levels for $73nzd for the month. I decided to go with the month rather than commit to the year. Every lesson is downloadable and can be done WITHOUT having the subscription. However you don't have access to the videos coz they don't download. So I decided to download the whole site lol and unsubscribe while I organize my lessons and be strategic about resubscribing when I can really commit to using it regularly. They have some amazing features of live lessons and a magazine and competitions. Overall if your kiddo is fine just following the lessons in written form download as much as you can print and away you go! Highschool was disappointing not much content coz it's new so they only have this month worth of lessons I'd hold off and just get junior for now it's certainly challenging enough. They also have a literARTure section I'm sure you'd LOVE 😁
