Thanks for sharing! It’s always fun to see new living book ideas. We may pull some of these in for read alouds next year. Also- totally unrelated but I love your shirt so much! Very pretty 💗 I need to find some nature-y shirts.

This is very helpful, as I have two boys about to enter Middle School. I would love to see more part of Dakota content for middle and high school. I'm a new sub, so still poking around in your channel. Thank you, you're so sweet and relatable.

That is so sad about the writers of that church history set. I bought the set in 2020, it was hard to find all 5 at that time. Do you notice the books changing as the set goes from 1 to 5? I found his blog post article where he talks about them no longer being believers, and it makes me wonder how the 5th compares - he wrote, “We were both raised in conservative baptist homes, made our way to the Presbyterian church, then to the Episcopal church, and now we are no longer in the church. With hindsight, I can chart many of these changes with each volume. It is that life path that has led the books to be out of print today.”

I have not used all the books, but I do know with HOD their choice have been great. As for the couple, it would be easy to get caught up in the lives of people and what they did and loose focus on what God did and is doing.

With the microphone it's easier to hear especially if you are hard of hearing

Thanks so much for sharing! I keep looking at the Heart of Dakota but have yet to jump in. We use Notgrass, Masterbooks, and this coming year Guest Hallow for history. I know that Heart of Dakota has so much more to offer besides history, but I think unless you are using the history books they recommend with the guides, then it would not justify the cost nor make much sense, to me anyway.

Thank you for watching!! We use HOD mostly for the History and it is already scheduled out. I try to find use😉 It sounds like you have a good plan though😉💕
