My daughter turned 5 at the beginning of the year and I had been going back and forth on curriculum for months as well! I finally decided that we're doing Gentle and Classical as well as KMWC! We're holding off on formal reading for now, but we will start All About Reading next year.

I used the primer last year for about half the year before life went off the rails 😅 my oldest is going into 1st grade this year and my middle into preschool, I have an almost 2 year old as well so we will be utilizing it again this year hopefully will make it through the whole curriculum. I love it so much!

My 4th and last baby is starting Kindergarten in the fall. So far I plan on using All About Reading with him, but I haven't figured anything else out! I want to take a gentle approach, as pushing academics (reading) early with his big brothers didn't work so well.

This sounds very thorough. I’m starting my youngest in kinder this fall as well and I’d be really interested in how you do you school with so many kids. I’ll only have 3 but my youngest gets so squirrely, I’m not sure what school is going to look like when she’s not in preschool and I’d love to see how you do it.

I was thinking the same thing. I have 6 kids, my youngest being almost 2 and have a son going into kindergarten this year. How do you plan the teacher time with your kindergartener along with teaching the other kids? Are you using certain materials on certain days, etc.?

So I am planning on using all about reading level 1 with my kindergartener next year. I’ve never used this before so I’d like to know if you have any recommendations on something to use along with all about read for language arts, or if I need anything else. Thanks! I am considering using kindergarten 2 from Christian light as kind of a pre kindergarten, not sure yet

I actually ended up readjusting and holding off on actual K until this year. She just really need the extra focus on letter sounds and basics. She has been so eager and ready this year though.

So I’ve been watching your curriculum videos and a lot of the different bible resources I’ve picked out for next year are ones I’ve seen on your channel I’m in agreement with you on wanting to make sure they get good bible and not like some of the children’s devotionald that are a bit lacking I’m wondering if you have anything that you are assigning to your oldest son next year for independent bible. Mine is going to be 12 and in 7th. Same with yours I think

Hi! I am trying to decide between doing Math With Confidence or CLE Math for my kindergarten/1st grader. How did you like the math with confidence? Or are you going to stick with CLE math for her? Thanks for any advice!

We did Math with Confidence and LOVED it! It's great for younger kiddos. We are going to move into CLE 1 next year though just because that's what I like to use as we go farther into math. I think Math With Confidence would be great for 1st grade as well but CLE is just tried and true for us.

What math did you use with your other kiddos for homeschool Kinder? We have done TGATB preschool (LA / numbers+shapes+counting), but am changing all my babies over to CLE math next year. I’m bummed they don’t have a Kinder! 😭 Trying to find something that will prepare her for CLE 1 the following year.

I have done a couple of things: -I have used Kindergarten Math with Confidence -I have focused on basic math skills and then started CLE 1 slowly halfway through the year.

Well, when we started the year I ended up not counting it as kinder and she completed Kinder this year instead. We did math with confidence but then this year did CLE level 1

Im curious, how much money you spent on all these books just for your kindergarten ? I also have a 2nd grader and im getting worry on how many books they will need. Im already overwhelmed. Great info thank you for the info.

$39 for Gentle and Classical PDF $31 for her math Free Masterbooks science because I had reward points from previous purchases I made. $19 Get Ready for the Code series I love getting read alouds from the library, but some I do purchase if it’s something we will use over and over or really like.
