I’m so happy I stumbled upon your channel. I have twin boys with the exact same issues, even down to having one a year ahead of the other. I was about ready to throw in the towel with homeschooling because I felt like we were making such slow progress, but in my heart, I knew the public system would just push them through faster and hurt their self-esteem in the process. Thank you for sharing your story! I’m definitely going to check out these resources.

Great video. My son is very similar to your children. Its nice hearing another ADHD mom who actually gets it. Have you seen Evan Moors daily writing? Its a very simple, not overwhelming approach.

Your story with your son and the school is identical to mine. Great staff and loved them so much, but ultimately, we chose to stay home to be able to go more at my sons pace. He's going into 5th grade but we are still working on late 2nd/early 3rd grade material.

Thanks for sharing!! It’s hard to make the move to homeschool when you have a great school but I’m so glad we did!

Hi what do you do for history and science? I have an autisitc 8 year old and I always have trouble finding a history and science curriculum that fits him.

This was great. We have a child who is neurodivergent and it can be such a struggle. Maybe you’ve shared somewhere already, but what sort of LD does your child have? Thanks for sharing.

Hey thanks so much for sharing! I haven’t shared his exact diagnosis because I want to protect his privacy❤️
I'm struggling with history and science for my son with a LD. Any suggestions?

Hello I’m sure you are in control of the curriculum and levels. My son will also start 6th grade and he’s on the spectrum so I will start teaching him 2nd grade level because he’s super behind on reading, Spelling and Math so Until I see he makes progress and is understanding everything then I’ll definitely move to the next grade level.

@@kaesteff7953 what curriculum are you using? I was looking into the autism helper curriculums.

@@breannaflores316 hey sorry for the late response but I will be using miaacademy. Today is my son 1st day of homeschooling and so far miaacademy is looking good. I think they give u a free trial for 30 days and if you like it then is a monthly subscription.

@@breannaflores316 and since he’s super behind for a 6th grader we are doing 1 and 2nd grade . English . Math and science and social studies. Until I see he’s doing better then I can definitely go to the next level.
