These picks make up (in my opinion) the perfect kindergarten or first grade curriculum!!! What great picks.

I just love, love your videos! I wish I could sit down with you a drink a cup of coffee and talk special needs/homeschooling. I always learn so much from you! My ASD son is 9 but we are still doing 1st/2nd grade work. I get so stuck on where the world says he should be instead of just focusing on his progress. Trying to fit school and therapies is so hard some weeks. Thank you again for sharing your journey and always being full of encouragement.

I love AAR but I did have to use it a little differently to fit my son's learning style. And I had to add in explode the code.

Sarah, while watching this video, I have 1 million things going through my head! I just have to say I absolutely love you and your style. I’ve been following you for several years and always wish that we could live next-door to each other. Our oldest son graduated last year and if I could, I would absolutely go back and make all of the curriculum changes. All those years ago when he was little, I just didn’t have access or knowledge of other curriculum. He is dyslexic and we had so many tears, soooo many tears, his and mine!! I love that you were making the changes that you need for Ezra. We are also in the camp kindergarten two years in a row lol especially for boys even if they don’t have any kind of learning disability I think they just need that extra year it has worked out wonderful for our kids . Our two youngest are in 11th and eighth grade this year. I’m telling you I will watch your videos no matter what! I am in such all of things that are offered now. ❤ I’m praying for your school year to be filled with blessings.

I just want to share as an encouragement. I have an autistic daughter. Her educational Journey was very varied. She repeated some grades, some grades were at Public School, some grades were homeschool, some were at private resources. What helped me was that they told me did she just needed to be done by 21. So that was my goal. I didn't worry about grades grades. Just the final goal. High-school had some downs until I found ACE and a School in Ohio who would help manage the transcript. You make it work what fits best your child. God will guide you.

Thank you for sharing some of your journey with Ezra. It’s hard to find special needs content. It’s a hard road and you hit the nail on the head with looking for PROGRESS. I have to remember that is my goal. I’m a bit discouraged right now because my little one seems to be regressing right now, and not moving forward at all. 😢

I would love to see a day in the homeschool of your son and how you are implementing the curriculum you’ve chosen. Periodic updates would also be very helpful! I know you’re a busy mama and it’s not easy to share these sorts of things, but it is very helpful. Thank you for what you do!!

This was a wonderful video. So helpful for this special needs mama. He also just turned 6 and is most likely on the spectrum. He is our special little guy, and I appreciate all your work into putting these particular videos together.❤

Pocket of preschool from tpt has great resources for sensory bins and many other resources not specifically for kids with autism but her resources helped my child who has autism. Very hands on.

Such an amazing video!! I can’t wait to see reviews :) We are doing Me on a Map, unit studies for science, Math Lessons for a Living Education, and treasure hunt reading! I might go to all about reading if it doesn’t work well with her.

Can anyone recommend a video/channel on this topic but focussed on nonverbal ASD children?

I have so so many things I wish I could pick your brain about, but I'll just leave this simple comment instead. 😅 I can't believe you're choosing Math With Confidence for him because I bought that set for MY autistic son last year and shelved it not really thinking he'd ever be at a place to use that specific curriculum. But, this go round since he just turned 6 (also), I've been thinking about just giving it a try to see how he does. My son also struggles with writing, I've researched a little and found out he could have something called dysgraphia. I want to try the Right Brain approach for him in the near future but for now I'm gonna start slow on a lot of things. He loves the pie game you recommended too by the way! So all of this to say thank you again for sharing your journey with Ezra, it helps so much! ❤

I hope you and Ezra love All About Reading! Definitely save AAR activities to use again with Ava. Even if you use Sing, Spell, Read and Write with her, she can still use the games. 😊

I have twin autistic girls. They should be starting Kinder work this year, but they will be doing pre-k work instead. They are on the pre-k level, so I completely understand.
