I love your room. I think the closet door looks great the way it is ❤

@@ashleymurphy4813I also love the door, hope you didn't change it. It adds warmth to a mostly white room. (White is good for natural light but the less it feels like a doctor's office, the better.)

Hello! Ive been home-studying early childhood homeschooling in a self lead approach (doing it as a recovery plan for my C-PTSD), I want to transform my room into a soothing sensory heaven- and for me that would be probably an early childhood inspired style, I want to also make a homeschooling station in it, that will contain my content, materials, completed crafts (I am a toy maker) and sensory toys for my ASD. I wonder if you have any idea how to use my small space, I have never designed a room like that before and I seek some advice haha. Your room is beautiful, I think my room is about the same size, I also have a closet and a bed in it which takes big chunk of space. I usually use trays and basket and work at the dining table.

Hi! Thanks for reaching out. I imagine what would be soothing for me or my kids might be different from you but if I were designing a soothing sensory heaven, it would need soft colors, sunlight, sounds of nature or at bc least a speaker to play nature sounds, very minimal with an art station and maybe artwork on the walls, and a reading nook (which you could design around your bed with a shelf of books). If you want an early childhood feel, research Waldorf homeschool rooms. While colorful, their whole aesthetic is meant to be very calming and nature-inspired. No plastic or cheap materials. Lots of color and wood materials among many other elements. Good luck! Sounds lovely.

Hi! Great space! Love your set up! We are doing Blossom and Root too! Question, I have been looking for maps for our school room that are simple and colorful and large like the ones you had in the corner near the door. All the ones I see online are full of extra details, and are too confusing for my 5 yo. Do you know the brand or where you got them? Thank you!!
