This really gave me much needed motivation...it's our second year and i am going through a time i hoped wouldn't happen...when life just hits you out of nowhere and there are many things going on with family...and personal things...our first year was awesome, busy, fun and creative...for some reason I'm feeling a struggle with different things this year. Kinda going through a down time, wondering what's wrong it is not flowing like last year and feeling such doubt.. have to say your videos have helped me so much! Thank you. I just discovered them today! Makes me feel some hope again! Your family has made me smile and feel uplifted...it's time for a change up...ready to be on it again!

Your schedule is close to ours! We do only four days a week and love it! I have dyslexic daughter and she loves having a "freebie"day, as we call it. We normally have Friday's off, but sometimes we swap it around to accommodate my husband's work schedule with family life. We use Easy Peasy right now and it's such a great fit for us. My kids really seem to enjoy this curriculum.

I think people should be homeschooled more. In a public school you get pressure more than at home so at homeschooling is better. At least you get to do homework anytime at any part of the house. I wish I could homeschool my kids. My son is going into high school now and my daughter is going to third grade. I just love the one on one interaction, the cute little homeschool room and just being able to teach them myself. @HeatherTorresTV8 жыл бұрын
She is technically in 2nd grade from when she came out of public school but really to be honest we have kind of gone away from the "grade level" concept because it really depends on the subject now. She ranges from 4th grade work to 1st grade work depending on the subject. That's the beauty of homeschool. Totally custom to her learning level :)

How do kids that are homeschooled do in social situations? I was curious to know how they get interaction time with other kids their age.
@HeatherTorresTV6 жыл бұрын
Great question. We are interacting on a daily basis is real life situations. The grocery store, the library, church. We have a great neighborhood of kids who play outside too and homeschool kids are just a part of the group. We also make time in the week to connect with other kids who are homeschooled. We create a community environment for our kids. I felt the same way before I started homeschooling.

I wish homeschooling was a possibillity in my country. But it's very hard for the government to accept parents who do so. There are strict rules. They mostly only accept either sick kids or where there is a clash of school with the families religion. And me and my husband don't really practice anu religion as of now... I feel in my heart it would be best for my future children, but sadly..

So sorry you are in that situation. I have a friend who is Germany and is unable to homeschool right now.
