CN Tower EdgeWalk Challenge Rachael! Doooo ittt! 😜 Enjoy Pumpkin Spice season at home. We are going home for Christmas and can't wait. Haven't been home since 2018! It's been toooooo long. I hear you on convenience and I also miss actual customer service and product and service standards... I miss a lot about Canada.. but would NEVER have appreciated things back home as much as I do having lived in Uganda 9 years. It really changes your perspective.

@@RachaelNalumu I am really grateful for the perspective change for sure. So much I am grateful for from my time and experiences living in UG. And now that we have moved to a tiiiny village near Kabale, I have even more to appraciate (like getting a damn hair cut 😝😝). It's wild! How am am I coping... girl I bake and cook all the stuff I miss as much as ingredients here will let me. I have even learned to make American Chinese stuff cuz I miss it. Like you I also miss the asian stuff, Ramen, Pho and the good good indian food etc. To keep the whoosah, I meditate A LOT and I have a little garden so that helps 🤣🤣🤣🧘 Enjoy that pumpkin spice life while you have it. And YES do the EdgeWalk, it's on my bucket list also. Did the tandem parachute jump in BC and now gotta do the EdgeWalk next time I am in the 6. Have the best time back home lovely . 💓

Its the summer festivals for me. The parks, museums, trails, affordable travel to the carribean, Naiagra, winery, experiencing different GTA citys, Canadas wonderland, thrift shops( good will), yard sales, big fat malls, just stand down town and people watching, safety, Rail transportation, biking down town on the road without fighting for space with boda bodas, Library with so many books, Nature walks in the city, The doller store Shoppers drug mart Rent a car to drive to wherever The list goes on and one. So you or anyone can add to the list.❤😊

Hi Rachael ❤, I feel like I know you…lol 🎉 love your way of life and your knowledge of diversity with food but the fact that you keep it real by exercising too show you viewers that food doesn’t make you fat 😊 …please keep praying for my journey there and please keep putting out such great blogs. Thanks 🇺🇸❤️🙏

Too bad your cyber mom can't pick you up from the airport just because Edmonton is too far. Sometimes, McDonald fries just do it for me 🍟and don't forget to do a Costco run🛒🛍️💃🏾🙌🏾🥰

This is what Ugandans in the diaspora do not understand about raising their children in the diaspora. Those children are not real Ugandans despite having Ugandan names and ancestry. Especially if those children do not speak/never learned any local Ugandan languages. If you want your children to be real Ugandans you have to raise them in Uganda. This woman is Canadian. She can never ever get used to life in Uganda. She is all about thrills and fun. Definitely that's not what Uganda is about. In Uganda people have real jobs to do, economic pressures to support families, poverty & illnesses. This woman's mind is in Canada. Girl, you need to do some gardening.

Interesting. Well, you are right. I’m not Ugandan… and I’m not just Canadian. I’m both 🤷🏾♀️. It’s kind of weird to invalidate someone else’s lived experience when it’s not yours but go awffff LOL.

I genuinely don't understand how people move back to uganda but anyway we are different
@Flourish_today5 ай бұрын
😂😂😂😂. I came to realize that some people were never meant to live in their home country. I have a Ghanian friend who said she would never move back to Ghana. She moved here when she was 23 she is now 45 and still stands on her word. At times, people will guilt you into thinking your birth country or parents' country is the best. But you can make home where you want to make it. Never let anyone guilt you into thinking you're missing out on life just because you are not driving into potholes.

Agreed! The world is meant to explore so home truly is where the heart is. I hope your friend at leasts travels to see family and friends sometimes.
