Holy crap! Your setup could be used for training future pilots. This saves money in the long run. Even if you are the only one using it, flying countless hours would have easily cost you $40 k or $50 k. I would understand it if you spent hours and hours simulating flights. If you ever go for your private pilot license, you would be extremely comfortable with every aspect of flying.

Terrific work. Well done!! I am helping with a new home sim installation. Can you give some impression of the DA Trim Wheel? Specifically, does it match closely two basic maneuvers learned by every student pilot. -1- Engine Out emergency Best Glide at 65 knots practice. Power to idle / Spin trim wheel down to full nose up limit / Then with three bottom to top nose down rotations the C172 should fly at 65 knots. -2- Steep turns. Lay in 45 degrees with back pressure and add about 100 rpm power followed by three nose up top to bottom rotations on the trim wheel. Fly 360 degree circle with minimum inputs to maintain altitude. Hope you could test this and advise. My Saitek Cessna Trim Wheel works very accurately in X-Plane once I got a special LUA script in place. But that device is out of stock every where. I use my sim to support real world training so accuracy and realism are very important. Thanks in advance. Stay safe and be well.

Very cool setup man! I just saw one of the other videos for the first time and couldn't even tell what I was looking at until you pull the camera back. Really convincing from inside the cockpit view! I play X-Plane in VR casually. It doesn't have the tactile quality of real world hardware of course and needs to run at least 45fps to be tolerable but still it's pretty good. Wondering if you have tried VR X-Plane and your take on the difference. Also cool power diagram. I also did this when moving into new place.

Have a Realsim panel almost complete and exact copy of my Cherokee 6 cockpit with Avidyne screens, Garmin Gps, etc. Quick Question on the TV's. How did you connect them together so there is no crack of light between screens? I saw another video you did of using aluminium foil tape in between to get rid of black bevel (I'll do that as well) but for behind the screens are they just placed right next to each other? or did you secure them behind in some other way? Black duct tape? velcro? Thanks. I'll send you some pics of my finished product when it's done. Thanks again. Love your videos!

have you seen the "Knobster" to use with AM? It will make the knob turning easier! I have one, and it works just as advertised, with an outer and an inner dial... or are you already using them with AM on the 22" monitor with the glass guages?
@HomeSimPilot4 жыл бұрын
I have seen the knobster but haven't done much research. The panel mask im using has encoders but they're very slow when turning. Is the knobster slow? And can you use more than one at a time or does 1 knobster control every gauge?
@thegood94 жыл бұрын
@@HomeSimPilot Well, it's pretty quick. You can use more than one, but, if you get a touch screen (and a 22" one is less than $200 on amazon), you can "tap" any knob and have the "Knobster" work those knobs. It's pretty accurate, and feels pretty well built. It comes with 4 screws or you can velcro it anywhere you want if you don't want to mess up anything. It's just another USB connection, and Air Manager recognizes it.
@rpcraighead4 жыл бұрын
@@HomeSimPilot I use the knobster on a 23" HP touch screen. It's great! The only thing is that BUTTON sensitivity goes down if each instrument is too small... It would be ideal for me to have two touch screens. I've got a physical panel setup (all PropWash) but this one's great, because I can change the panel config to any airplane. I'm transitioning to CAP G1000 182s in the RW when this quarantine thing ends, so that's handy.
