Me, it is not good to tap horse nose, cause it is very pain full for horse. Are you ever dealing with horses?! Do you know have to communicate with horse?! My knowledge - I dealing with horses since I 5 years old, so
@cattymajiv
@cattymajiv Жыл бұрын
@@Lita-bj5ir Well you write like a 6 year old, so I'm guessing you're not even 15 years old. Not even close! If you had any valid experience at all, you would know that nitpicking other people is not cool at all! And it does more harm than good. And you would know that everyone does stuff that other people don't like. It's the whole package, overall, that matters. And I'm pretty sure your adolescent and tiny little package of horse training knowledge is either nonexsistent entirely, or if it does exist at all, it's tiny and it's a disaster. When you become a true expert, after training 100+ horses of all different kinds for different purposes, then MAYBE you will have a right to criticise other people. But until then, keep your childishness to yourself. Go nitpick your teddy bear!

Oliver has starting shoving JR for treats. While he can withstand this it would knock vthe wind out of anybody else and it needs to stop. Oliver is still growing and gaining weight. He can and will hurt anybody else in the family, if he shoves them this hard. It is inappropriate behavior.

I agree he is physically capable of pulling but you're smart to realize he's not mentally mature enough yet to understand everything. I've heard other trainers talk about a horse's mentality and how that training them mentally is as important as physical training. He's such a lovely boy.

I have a suggestion as I noticed that just after turning him, as you headed back toward the gate to the road and he was trotting, you said ‘whoa’. I think you were just steadying him a little, but I think you need to, from the beginning, use whoa to stop him. In an emergency or if he starts panicking, he needs that command to be second nature. Otherwise loved this! Also loved the use of ‘Away’ and ‘Come By’. Until my eyesight/depth perception started going bad, I did sheep herding (with ‘upright’ dogs) for many years.

I've followed + supported your channel + have waited on all your updates on each video in regards to Oliver but this is the 1st time I've acted on how your video has made me feel. For a 2yr old stallion who's never shown you "any" signs of aggression to be smacked on the face ( or nose if it makes it sound less for you than it actually was) for simply nudging you while hooked up to your stupid contraption of a buggy for the 1st time in his short life is unforgivable!! I'm all for teaching manners when they have bad manners but not with violence or aggression!! So much for you supposed God fearing folk ??? This is the last of your videos that I'll b watching, thank you + before you come back with a remark about how you've worked with horses all your life + know what you're doing, well so have I + I've grown up in + worked at a clydesdale farm in Scotland all my life. We have 34 clydesdales + a phenomenal breeding program + use all our own stallions but never have we "EVER" had to resort to smacking 1 on the face on the 1st day in training especially a 2yr old !!!! We don't even start riding them till they're 3 or 4yrs old+ have filled out nicely yet poor Oliver had serious EPM + you've already had him pulling equipment!! You don't deserve to have him, even though it was your KZbin community actually paid for him ???

If you're this arrogant or ignorant then I'm sorry mate but I can't help you !! I'm not saying you're bad people, ive loved watching you + you're lovely family but I also witnessed you smack another young horse who wanted your attention when you were in the field with lots of other "young "horses , so your explanation in your voice-over as regards smacking Oliver because of his size etc etc doesn't actually hold any water because as I previously stated, you've also smacked a young MUCH smaller horse in the face just like you did with Oliver. Aggression breads Aggression!! Patience + a true understanding of horses costs nothing?? + seen as you're worked with horses all your life , then again I'm sorry I can't help you .

Really nice. He must've had some good groundwork to be that quiet on a cart first time and that is the way to go. Getting them to stand once stopped is the hardest thing i've found, i've done hobble training with some to address that, but this fella is doing super. We've got the same cart. Nice to see a Clydesdale on the farm, we have and breed Clydes and they have done everything we need them to, from hauling timbers out of the woods to plowing and haying. They have gotten a reputation somehow as "strictly a show-horse" and the ones that clean up at the shows these days tend to have lousy conformations for work (long spindly legs), but the same is true of show Percherons and even Belgians anymore and fortunately there are still plenty of them with good bone and not too much leg that are not ruined by show-breeding. There are more powerful pure-pulling horses but there is no better "all-rounder" than a Clyde and their temperaments and beauty tend to be second to none. You may already know these things but i'd recommend getting those snaps off the bit end of the lines and attach to the bit at the buckle, i've seen those snaps break when things get rugged; as well as sitting on the driving lines so you never loose 'em. I'd get him going in an open bridle as well, makes for a more confident horse in the end. Very few of them ever require blinders. Good luck, excellent initiative here, we need to see a lot more of this sort of thing!

Oh my goodness... he pulls this cart as if he had never done anything else in his life. Marvellous. In watching this, I just got the impression that your homestead is next to ideal for training horses. A river to swim in, railroad tracks to learn how to trot, and hardly used, small roads with ups and downs to teach a Clydesdale how to pull a cart in all terrain. For what you do, you have truly been blessed.

This is what he was born to do..as per usual Oliver took it all in his stride..a bit wary to start but that lasted a matter of seconds..mainly because he trusts JR 100% and knows he wouldn't be asked to do anything bad..yes l think the head nudgi ng is cute..but l understand its not acceptable when he is in 'work mode'.. he will have to learn the difference bit this dude is very intelligent and sooo quick to learn..we forget that he is only just 2 yrs old and a stallion..to get cooperation and no kickbacks in temper is amazing and just shows what a special horse he is..l say it every time l know but he knows JR saved his life..this is one of those once in a lifetime connections between human and animal..fate intervened that day at the auction..you saw each other and that was the connection..guided by our Lord..JR wasn't looking for a Clydesdale or an new angle for the Homestead but our Lord ✝️🙏 had other ideas.. Oliver is in the best family..his lifelong family I'm sure..he is sure easy to love..he has been given so much by the Rosa Family and he just loves giving back anyway JR wants him too..that last bit ofthe video where Oliver is grazing and right next to him like his shadow was Champ..if I remember rightly Champ was a bit precocious when he was paired with our big boy..but he clearly has learned how to behave from his big bro and has matured into a well behaved stallion too..Well done Oliver..you've trained Champ to be a good boy too😂..lovely video as usual Emeri..you are so very talented at what you do..but something tells me you're not good accepting compliments..but its true..God Bless you all..🇬🇧💞✝️🙏👏👍🐎🐎🇺🇸
