I first heard about carnivore a couple of years ago on the Joe Rogan show with Jordan Peterson. About 5 months ago I seen your Video about the 5 stages of carnivore. That got the ball rolling, watch some of Dr. Ken Berry's videos and then started the PHD. Here is a summery of the last 100 days. I am a 52 year old Male in Mooresville, IN. 100 days on carnivore. Lost 68 LBS over 100 lbs. since my heaviest. No hunger pains cravings after 3 days, No more depression, gingivitis since I was a teenager now is gone, Acne cleared up, No more body inflammation, No more soring, No more dry skin, toe nail fungus clearing up, Sleep less but deeper sleep, Resting HR went for 64 to 54 in 30 days, BP went from 140/94 to being constantly under 110/70, Way less soreness after lifting weights, No sun burns this summer with no sun screen, and I work outside, No more fever blisters, grey hair is going away. HUZZAH!!... I have had success with many other diets (Keto, weight watches, low fat, all fruits and vegs, etc.) but carnivore is the only one I don't feel like I'm starving. I will be posting videos on my youtube channel in the next month or two of my story. Thank you for your videos

Can you share the recipe for the hamburgers? I'm thinking to make them with ground meat, egg and some gelatin. Maybe remove the egg white.
@LiveforalongtimeАй бұрын
So actually I make my own ground beef patties. I buy primal cuts of ribeye or striploin (Coatco or local butcher) and use the trim cuttings to grind my own hamburger that I make and freeze into patties. Since I do my own grind I can control the fat content so I make them with higher fat content - anywhere from 30 to 50% fat content. I could add egg, but I prefer to just add soft egg yolk only on top of the cooked patty. It’s very delicious. (I save the egg whites and make and fry them in the air fryer to have as a snack.)

I drain the fat from all my meat, burger patties, beef/lamb fat off roasts/chops, bacon fat, I save it all in different pots (1 for beef, 1 for lamb and 1 for bacon) so I can add the fat I want to each meal or to fry my eggs. I buy local grass fed lamb and it's reeaaaallly fatty so I get loads of tasty lamb fat dripping, my butcher makes me low sugar beef bacon so that fat is awesome too. Ahhhh, I love being carnivore!!!

Have at least 13 hours of no eating every 24 hr period 6) eat big, get nice and full. 7) eat the best eggs and pork you can find they are more affected by low quality farming methods

Prefer Lion diet, but I’m flexible. Never want to go back to how I was. My quality of life is so much better now…not perfect thanks to my injuries, (mainly fused left elbow, multiple disfigured spinal vertebrae) etc. I feel much more confident and look forward to improving every day. Another comment about fat reminded me of this hack, so I thought I'd post it stand alone... I air fry my burgers and while I could save the fat runoff, I thought I might be able to keep it in the patty with Pork Rind Crumbs. It worked out great, I spread out the hamburger and add salt and pepper then sprinkle a couple spoonfuls of the pork crumbs over the meat and make a patty as normal. The pork rind crumbs suck up about 95% of the fat with no need for recycling...

We are a carnivore family with an 11 year old son. He was 10 when we started the diet. The key was to make small changes, one at the time. Once a new routine is on, do the next little change. Eventually we ended up having one full carnivore meal per day for our son, then two, and eventually all 3 of his meals. He is rocking carnivore for more than a year now, with us. We basically stopped buying anything else. Kids eat what is available at home. And also kids eat what adults eat, I have no idea who came up with such nonsense that kids eat kids food, adults eat adult food. As a traditional mother, I prepare the food and everybody has to eat what's there. Luckily we live in a rural area, so nobody can nip to the shop to get something else. For picky kids, very small changes are the best. For example put raw egg yolk into their drink, juice or smoothie. Our son always enjoyed freshly squeezed juice, I simply ended up adding raw egg yolk in it, I just mixed it up with a hand held soup blender. It does not change the flavour really, they don't even notice it. Raw egg yolks are full of nutrients. You can gradually increase the amount of egg yolks in the drinks. If your family can handle dairy, additional raw cream in the kids juice is also amazing. Egg yolk and cream is a fantastic combo, full of animal fat and nutrients. This is one example how you can make the first step for more nutritious food. You can easily add up to 6 raw egg yolks to a child. Another way is having the same food, as usual, but you start to increase the meat and decrease the sides on the plates. Gradually you will end up having only meat and fat on the plate. And as gradual change kids will not strike against it. When they ask why is there less potato or pasta for example, you can say you run out of it. When there is none on the plate, you can say you completely run out of it. And eventually, as their brain is healing, you can have proper conversation with them, why you made changes in their diet. It depends on the individual kids. Our son knew before head, that we will change our diet, he was happy to do it. Still I made the transition nice and slow, and one day he was fully carnivore, without even realising it. As our kid is home educated, it is easy to sort changes for lunch time too. To change lunch box for school kids, you simply have to follow the same, step by step, slow and steady method. Don't let your kids to eat what the school is offering, but put your time and effort to fill their lunch box with homemade food. Food thermos is an amazing way to take hot food, like chicken soup, scrumbled eggs with sausages, stew, etc. For solid food, fill up the thermos with boiling water, pour it out, then fill it with the solid food. Even sliced steak will stay warm this way. For snack, I fry lots of pork belly every single day. We ask our butcher to slice it thin, just like bacon. This way there are absolutely no nasties in our bacon. I just have to salt it when I fry it, that's all. (It's actually cheaper than cured bacon this way, so we save plenty of money, as we have 100-200 rashes per week.) And we have this bacon at the counter, available for any time, when our son feels like snacking. There is something magical about bacon, you can't get bored of it. Some days I make it more crispy, other days mit chewy. It's awesome if you are peckish but your next meal is not ready, so this is not only for kids. Another yummy snack is fried Halloumi cheese. We have this only occasionally, this way it does not get boring. We found salami with no preservatives, no nasties, this is another fab snack idea, with some butter and cheese on top. Delicious little bites. Juices and smoothies can gradually change into water and raw A2 milk. As a recent thing, after more than one year of only water and milk, we allow our son to drink water flavoured with electrolites, keto pro cherry berry is his favorite. He fills up his big water bottle, adds one scoop of electrolites and he can enjoy it all day long, as a mild flavoured drink. But we made sure not to use any sweet flavour at all while we've been transitioning to this diet, as the sweet cravings would not dissappear. After 1 year + time as we introduced it, for a variety, it does not cause any issues at all. He is so used to eating carnivore, he does not have any sweet cravings at all. If by any chance after a while the flavoured electrolites would cause cravings, we would be simply back at the unflavoured one. Our son absolutely hated the taste of milk to start with, and now it is one of his favourite drinks. I gave him milk as hot chock let to start with, but only heated it a little and I added less and less cacao powder in it, less and less raw honey in it. Eventually it was just frothy milk. Some days I hinted a little cinnamon on top. And eventually he asked if he can get it cold. And he loves his cold raw milk so much, most days he drinks a pint of it. Simply use your problem solving skills, following the rule of one baby step change at the time. Don't do big changes and often, but little by little. Let the new sink in, the do the next step. This is how to build new, life long habits. I'm sure you will reach success.

Socialising is about the company you're in, not about lunch or dinner, two meals a day with mostly fatty red meat and fully saturated, supplements decimated to just D3/K2, Calcium, Zink, Magnesium ofcourse, and Potassium, Natrium and Iodine together in so called 'low salt diet salt', how easy is that, and I.m sooo healthy as never ever before, not even as a kid. I love your videos and they are very encouraging an amazing. One thing I would like to address briefly. If people can change their way of eating to carnivore and accept it as a way of life let them have coffee if that's what they choose. I think it's a personal choice and if you can remain eating this way for the rest of your life and the only thing you have is coffee because you enjoy it once a day then I just don't think you should trash it so much.😮 I am a carnivore and I can see the benefits although I haven't been strick but I'm being strick because I am sick and need to heal my inflammation.. now. I would never eat raw meat. I disapprove of eating blood however to each their own. I respect all carnivores and I have been following my favorite doc especially because I'm a retired nurse. Anyway try to give people a break that are drinking coffee unless there's 100% research showing that coffee is totally totally bad for the human body other than being ridiculously expensive. I would appreciate if you would tell people that because I do hear people say and if they have to give up their coffee then rather eat the crappy American diet. We all need encouragement okay,
@MariaduPreez-c2qАй бұрын
@Lydiariley4370 if you listened correctly the analogy he was making about the coffee was more about the cost of it per day when you buy it off the coffee shops. The price of two cups per day pays for your meat per day. He added that you don't know the quality of the coffee. He never trashed the idea of having coffee. Having coffee is what a lot of carnivores do and there are some that can't because it affects them and that is how we all are different.

If we just did burger, bacon and butter we'd be golden on our grocery bill! It's the extra that kills you. The sour cream, cheese, etc that adds up, which we do buy for our kids. Me, burgers and butter, my husband is bacon and burger. We used keto Maria's kids cookbook to ease us into it. We also still do berries in breakfast smoothies and ice cream for my kids, both made with heavy cream.

I buy the toughest meat at the cheepest price, vacuum pack it into portion size, put in the freezer, for instance minute steak, when needed i sous vide at 150 24 hours, you can do a butter garlic sear, or eat as is ,save the juice for other carnivore recipes or salt to flaver and drink.

To hear a carnivore say "all the healthier sugars" it really helps to hear how even people who know that ALL carbohydrates and sugars are the same to the human body and will have an insulin response still use the salesman language of "natural sugars" "healthy sugars" "safer sugars" when we know there really is no such thing, they taught us well☹️ ❤️🥩❤️🥓❤️🥩❤️

The amount we save from grocery store ' buying overload' of the past- just prepackaged foods, snacks, hi sugar seed oil, gmo filled carb yuk, compared to now-Beef, Butter, Bacon egg buying is stunning at how much less, wayyy less it costs- PLUS we waste nothing we eat all of it!❤

I been self medicating with coffee for slightly under active thyroid for a long while. I dont think people realise why they even feel they need coffee. If you need it then its an inbalance in body that needs healing. Carnivore is crazy how it hels and helps everything

Vegetables are expensive too when you neednto buy a variety of them plus the sauces and carbs that go along with them and the meat most people also add some form of meat or tofu with their so called balanced meal and so that does add up cost wise. But once all those cravings for sugar and carbs disappears then we seem to eat less when just carnivore foods..

@ScottWood-p6zАй бұрын
Yes. I feel glad to hear your concern about the words "Like" and "You". I like non-violent communication. Those words I barely use. The lifeskill for NOT USING "like" is this: Direct honest feeling expressing. (I will use "upset" as the feeling word here) For example if I say I feel "like" upset. Well this use of the word "Like" is dishonest. Do I feel like "upset" or do i clearly honestly state my feeling without "Like",simply stating: "I feel "upset" THAT'S THE LIFESKILL And using the word "you" is a way of diminishing those I am addressing. I do not use it. I wish never to be violating others, ever. I stay solidly grounded in "I LANGUAGE" "I LANGUAGE" BABY! OH YEAH! Carnivore Scott Lifeskills Coach From BC Canada

I just started my carnivore journey. Do you have a video that goes into details the health benefits you will notice once you start? I have been watching videos that speak on the overall benefits once you are fat adapted but what are some of the things you might notice immediately? I have notice myself two weeks into the diet, my hygiene is impeccable. I don’t need deodorant anymore. My skin and hair are so soft. My hearing and eyesight are better. I would like to to know what to expect.

I keep a food diary so that I can identify possible causes for any adverse reactions I may experience in particular when I eat out. I shortened the name of Faith’s coffee to Tex8 coffee in my diary. I recommend any of you out there who still need your coffee fix to check out her recipe on their YT channel.

I'm a carnivore but a little bit different about animal fat. I really just greatly dislike it, so I use 90% lean ground beef or ground sirloin and fry it well done in gee with a higher heat then melt lots of kerry gold butter to pour all over it. My ketone's are always high. My whole diet is ground beef, butter, pasture egg's, and tuna or sardines a couple of times a week I can have occasional heavy cream and cheese but do best if I don't mix meat and dairy together or else I get acid reflux I have my dairy on days that I'm eating eggs as my protein.
@barbaraeastham9205Ай бұрын
Steak and Butter Gal seems to get her fat intake mainly from butter and it seems to work for her. I’m allergic to dairy so use olive oil. I live between the UK and Greece so sourcing perfectly pure olive oil is easy but I know it’s a problem in the USA because it’s mixed with seed oils and other harmful stuff.

I have been carnivore for 14 months I have lost 70 pounds I have about another 70 to go. My annual VA Dr. check up is coming up around February. I Know you have talks with various online Dr.'s that are carnivore themselves. Have you come across any of them that have a written paper with validated sources something I could read line for line outline why the Idea of high cholesterol is not true as to it correlating to heart disease. I don't want to insult my Dr. but I don't want to sound like an idiot telling her I'am not taking statins anymore and I don't believe high cholesterol is hurting me?
@milkyswag01Ай бұрын
Good work. Live your own life. Who cares what the Doctor thinks. The typical American eats less saturated fat today than in the 80s, but the rates of heart disease continues to increase. Heart disease was virtually non existent in the 1800s.
@UniquelyUbiquitous-yg3xlАй бұрын
With all due respect, who cares if your doctor is insulted? Their little feelings don’t deserve coddling. Most have a terrible God complex already. My biggest convincing factor is the folks with the highest off-the-charts levels of cholesterol are centenarians. Wrap your mind around that! People that have literally loved to 100 years-old have insanely high cholesterol. That’s all I need to know. Er, well… That AND our brains are almost comprised entirely of cholesterol. 🤷🏻
@debbiedogs1Ай бұрын
I believe several doctors have given details about what cholesterol numbers actually mean and how to read them, plus the info about the RATIO that is the most relevant. Look up Dr Anthony Chaffee and Dr Ken Berry and maybe the phrase "the truth about cholesterol". Great info. My sister in Australia had a doctor who was freaking out about one of her cholesterol numbers, but my sister urged her to look up the ratio calculation, and the doctor found that my sister's risk for heart problems was a mere 1%, which surprised the doctor! Also, the study about cholesterol being related to heart problems has been found to be due to Big Sugar paying to deflect from the inflammatory problems of sugar in our diets, and the study (done by a complicit Ancel Keyes, I believe) intentionally discarded many countries because the data from them DID NOT show what the Big Sugar liars wanted it to show. So yes, we have been lied to horribly.
@dusitnwright4443Ай бұрын
@@debbiedogs1 Yes I understand all that and I have scene to all those Dr's. youtubes I was wondering if any of them have written something an outline bullet points to run down a list that had creditable sources and explanations .
