In this video I show you my first vegetable garden here in Arkansas. I also finish building the trash bin/tool shed. Friends come to help me clear weeds and leaves from the property and prep the roof for seal coating.

Those piles of pallets and wood -- be careful around them because rattlesnakes love that kind of stuff. Your garden and trash bin looks good, To keep it from fading, maybe seal it and paint when you get the time.

Its looking great. That inset back wall on the shed for tool storage is a super idea. If ypu only put the board across with no stops for handles the tools will all lean over on each other. I like the pipe idea. You could put tne board up higher and plut in nails to hange things on do each tool has its space. In my experience that works the best and kerps tools from tangling. Rakes are trouble makers ya know. 😂

I’m jealous of you being able to plant already. I live in southern Ontario Canada I cannot plant until after may 24. Every year I have we had frost. Your homestead and home is coming along nicely.

You did that in under a half hour, wow you're fast, lol. Great job on the surround. I love the roof and mix match metal always looks rustic and rustic is awesome in my opinion. I think its a fine house just the way it is. You are blessed! The garden looks great, and so does the roof, that stuff really got rid of that rust. You have come so dang far and what you've accomplished wasn't little stuff it was a lot and you did it. I'm so proud of you! I'm so glad you've had help lately and I agree, you don't need to be on that roof. Love ya Girl, see ya for morning coffee.

haha no it was more like 3 hours all together. Just glad its done. I'll be ripping down that final board (and the 2 boards for the shed) today so that both sheds will be complete

Thanks, Im trying my best to avoid ladders. I think next up is water lines to the shop and back yard so thats mostly just crawling on the ground and easier on the back

I think everything is looking fabulous. I love it. wish I had it. You can use one of the black garbage cans turn all your tools upside down in it. That is what I do. Turn the other can into compost bin.

Thats a great idea, however I need to keep those for garbage. Often the garbage truck cant get down my road for weeks at a time so those cans will get filled. I do have some buckets maybe I can use for garden tools tho

well done on your bin shed , its awesome, the garden is coming on a treat, when the rains comes try resting up if you can give your back chance to repair it self, i know its hard but you need to rest up , hugsx

I love your place. My dream was to move my double wide onto a piece of land but it's still only a dream. I'm in a park but what I pay lot rent it would pay a piece of land off in no time.

I commiserate with you! I couldn't imagine paying rent on a house that I own! I found my land from the state land auction site for $135.00 per lot so less than $1,000 total

Such a cute little shed......now it needs some cute little signs nailed to it! I love the tin roof....could not have used anything better. It looks like there might be room to put a shelf over the trash cans....extra storage for something. Room for your cages you are using in the garden? Arkansas allergies.....I can relate a story about my daughter......she was traveling to Arkansas for her employer..whatever was blooming when she was there sent her to the ER. Arkansas is the worst area for those that suffer with allergies:( From a rainy SE Kansas ☔

I have never heard of rust converter what a difference. Your roof already looks so much better. Are you painter the roof white.

Thanks, Yes I am having a white elastomeric coating put on it. kinda like a rubber coating
