Tessie, I'm a 36 yo Momma who recently (in the last year) became a homemaker and had to switch to living off one income. Myself and my husband were raised that work, money and the rat race is what's important. I struggle to find my place as a homemaker and your videos bring me so much peace and hope. I wish I could hug you in person to say thank you for all that you share with us.

It’s way too easy to order a product on Amazon and it shows up so quickly! I now put things in my cart, hit save for later, and wait 30 days. Often I find I don’t need/want it after the time elapses😊
@princessdumbarton9877
@princessdumbarton9877 Жыл бұрын
The problem is that when Amazon knows you want something, they often raise the price. I stopped putting things in my cart because when I came back later I couldn't afford them. If you see a real bargain and you really need/want it, just buy it before it becomes unaffordable. Sometimes they do this in a matter of minutes.

Same..and oddly enough I never need or want it as much as I did when I put it in my cart! Except a repair part for my 24 year old washer that was under $30 when the appliance place want $159 for it. That was checked out seconds after we put it in lol

Tessie, thanks to you I am sitting here once again making budget cuts. Even with social security, my rent in Boston is high, as a cancer patient medical costs are high, our utilities have shot up & my poor husband is working part time at almost 70 years old. Cuts won’t be easy but they will beat being homeless. I appreciate your honesty on this topic ❤

I understand what you are doing. I am having to cut back a lot to. With my rent keep going up and cost of electricity it's getting harder on me, my 2 youngest and 2 grandkids that we have to live together to get by. It be came harder when I lost my husband few months ago we lost his disability income so that was a big change. So cutting back on many things and living even more similar with buying food on sale and stocking up helps. So with a lot of us we all know that times are hard for us but others might not. We just do the best we can. Thanks for sharing. It does help me too try harder to do all I can for my grandkids and get what is needed. Thank you.

Tessie this is the reality many Americans are in. We need to learn the joy in simplifying our lives. After a car accident I was in severe pain , and had several surgeries. This mess kept me on the couch tv surfing. I got caught up in buying stuff on the TV. I’m still on the couch a lot because of my injuries and, a neuromuscular disease. Since I’m not in as much pain I’ve realized, I do not need much and have been trying to be smarter with my money! I’ve given much away to charity and love having less stuff, and more room!

I love your transparency. Living on a $100.00/week budget is something we all should try to do. I hope you talk about how to do that w/o feeling like your missing out on something. I think we are all going to need to regroup our thoughts about spending in this shaky economy. One of the quickest ways to part with a large chunk of money is to eat out on a regular basis. Dining out used to be for special occasions, but now I know people that stop to get take out food 3-4 times a week. The sad part about that is- most of the time you can make better tasting food at home & it costs much less money!

Thank you so, so much for the courage to make this video. While this video is more focused on the Amazon review "business" there seem to be a lot of folks out there spending more money in costs and inventory than they are making in thier small businesses, side hustles, and the like. Others aren't adjusting thier "product" to meet the changing economic model. BTW - I remember when "everyone" was ecstatic when external (like hard drives similar to a flash drive) computer memory got so cheap at $1000 for 1Mb; today a lot of folks think in terms of Gb and don't even really understand what a Mb is.

That is a good place to be. When we became debt free it felt great.but we did over spend because we had a very healthy income. Now that we moved and aren't working yet because we want to semi retire and live a simpler life. With that it means cutting back so I have to really watch what I buy and make lists. The economy is better in this area than many places in the nation, outside of eggs there for short bursts of time our retail shelves have been reasonably full since 2020, etc...Still, our housing and everything else have even the middle upper income neighborhoods feeling like they have less spending power and even the grocery stores seem to not have as many people in them at all times of the day and night.

What I’m trying to say is this: you receive products from Amazon (free of charge), then you “review” the product, in hopes that the review results in a commissioning sale, for which I’m sure you receive a commission on said sale - you say that you “don’t sell anything,” which is hypocritical on your part. Receiving a commission on a sale, resulting from a review you did is in essence, selling. It’s disingenuous on your part to play word games.
