I just raced in divisionals ( state qualifier) this weekend for the 1600 in montana, and the dude that won it is named ignatius Fitzgerald ran a 4:15, and he probably might run under that next week for state. It was a wild race for sure. I got a 4:54😂😂💀

4:54 wouldn’t even get you passed sub districts. In my sub districts you need to run 4:30 or faster to qualify(usually my team sweeps the league though💀) and districts you need to be 4:20 or faster so 4:54 is meh

Why the crap are the commentators whispering throughout the race, this why sometimes distance running gets a bad rep

I hate it when people run ‘strategic races’ just to win. Like i get the point, but at the same time, the whole reason that running is so different from other sports is you get to show up and just kill yourself and the most pain wins. This just defeats the purpose if you save yourself so you can walk away with a medal

I ran in one of these last week in the mile , after 800 someone got eliminated and also after 1200. Everyone was so afraid of getting eliminated that we went through 800 in 2:00, then I finished with a time of 4:13. First time an elimination mile has happened in the uk
